[March 2025] Kuala Lumpur Staycation

A short weekend getaway to KL, Malaysia is something I always look forward to, as it is a chance to recharge myself after a week of stressful work. We booked our flight to Kuala Lumpur (KL) by Scoot . Our flight was scheduled on a Friday night at 9pm, and we did our check-in online. We made our way to airport after our work, and we had our dinner at the airport. Upon reaching KLIA2 , we were greeted by a pleasant sight! The human traffic at custom immigration was light, which maybe was due to the Ramadan Fasting period. It only took us 15mins+ to clear customs! We headed down to the e-hailing area to catch a Grab Taxi, and it took approximately an hour+ from the airport to our hotel. It cost us RM75, and we checked in at the hotel at almost midnight Once again, our room was located on the 49th floor and it was spacious! [Winter Vacation] Exploring Fukuoka (3D2N)

Good morning, Fukuoka! We headed down to the café to have our breakfast as our room stay came with it. After our brekkie, we walked to Hakata Station to catch a train out to Daizaifu . It is a super popular town to visit with the locals.  Daizaifu is popular a destination for a day trip from Fukuoka. It offers opportunities to take beautiful photos of a more traditional side of Japan. It is just a short train ride away via the main Hakata Station, to capture these picturesque places. The main attraction in Dazaifu is the Tenmangu Shrine which includes an iconic Japanese Arched Bridge.  We walked to the entrance past a ‘Divine Bull Statue’ , which people touch in the hopes that it will bring them wealth and fortune. The road leading to the shrine from the station is an old Japanese street with shops selling snacks and souvenirs, including the local specialty of Umegai Mochi .
