Beyond the Dough - Tokyo Neapolitan-Style Pizza + Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2024 + Donald Duck 90

I joined the Lee family for the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 202 4, and they came over to pick me up at my place. Thanks for the lift! I was so delightful to 'tumpang' their car to the Singapore Expo, where most of the participants boarded the shuttle bus to the starting point - SAF Field (Changi Village). We took a selfie in the shuttle bus! What I really enjoyed about the run, was having the opportunity to check out places that I normally wouldn't get to explore on my own.  During the run, I ran past historical sights, and many of them were protected by fencing and barbed wires.  My most exciting moment came when we were nearing the iconic Changi Prison Wal l. It was the highlight of the run, as it only open exclusively to the public once a year for this run! Thus, it's no surprise to see the simultaneous selfie-ing by many racers going on during the run event. Oh yes, the sight of the Changi Prison Wall also signalled the end of the race so YAY!! Safari Zoo Run 2017

Image
The Safari Zoo Run (SZR)  is dedicated to the memory of Ah Meng, the zoo's iconic Orangutan who died of old age in February 2008. This year's SZR is in support of wildlife conservation and in the hopes of garnering more funding support for the stated endangered species. Protecting the wildlife is our mission ; Run for the wildlife!   I've heard about this fun run a few years back, and this year, I was so happy to be given a chance to join in the fun. Both Baby and I opted for the 5.5KM Family Fun Run . Upon receiving the email from the organisation to pick up the race pack at Marina Square, Baby and I made our way there on Saturday to do our collection. The race pack collection on Saturday was pretty smooth and there were many parents signing up together with their children, as this is a good start to relay a message to kids on the importance of regular exercising and to stay healthy always.  Last week, I woke up early...

The second instalment of the Mizuno Ekiden will take place on 16th of July, 2016 at The Promontory @ Marina Bay! This year, the race is making its first full-fledged Ekiden race in Singapore, at 4pm in the evening.   Ekiden is a term referring to a long distance relay running race in Japanese culture. There are two running categories (half marathon - 21.1km ; full marathon - 42.195km) for  Mizuno Ekiden Singapore 2016 . I signed up for the half marathon with my two running buddies (Tracy and Jasmine) together with my Baby. I will be the second runner for my team in this relay run.   To help us in preparation in our forthcoming run, Mizuno organised a series of running clinics for the runners. I attended the first running clinic that took place on a Saturday morning at the Singapore Sports Hub .   Coach Sham led us through the warm up exercises before our 4km/8km run training. We did the cool down exercise under hi...
