[random - Part 01] All about food

Image
Mom V got me another pair of Starbucks drink earrings that featured Mocha with Whipped Cream, and I love it so much. Thanks Mom Vi for pampering me! Baby and I had cravings for zi char fare on a random weekday, so Baby drove down to our usual food haunt, Sum Kee Food which is located at Yeo’s Building . Yes, we had a filling and delightful dinner, as Sum Kee never fails to impress us with the food they serve. Thanks Baby for the meal! We love to indulge ourselves with nice food after a hard day at work, as it helps to recharge and rejuvenate us to meet new challenges! Prior to our dinner, Meryl and Chewy did some old clothes donation at the Style Theory Capsule which is located at Nomadx @ Plaza Singapura . We played the claw machine which is located within the retail store, and we had so much fun there. We are like children when it comes to playtime, haha! I met up with Meryl and Chewy to fulfil our mandatory CNY gathering. We settled our meal fi...

[random] Foodies' Paradise

Image
My OOTD! Baby brought me to  Nam Kee JB Handmade Pau, which is located at 'The  Grandstand' where the old turf club used to be, for a dinner! We had a simple meal to conclude our Fri-date! for dinner. I met up with Meryl on a non-working day for lunch. We settled for a meal at a cafe named ' Saturday House' . Although we seldom see each other, we are still in each other’s heart, and that’s what friends are for! I was so happy to see her again.  I had the Aglio Olio pasta, while Meryl had Carbonara pasta. We shared the Truffle Fries between us. We had an enjoyable meal time together. Thanks so much for the companionship! The damage was SGD50, which I  felt was kinda on the high side. Entering the blogging sphere way back in 2010 has been a great experience for me. During my journey of blogging, I am blessed to meet some fellow bloggers who have since becomes my close good friends/buddies! Re...

[random] Mother's Day Celebration - Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck+ Her World x G2000 Shopping Event

Image
As Mum V loves Peking Duck, Baby and I decided to bring her to Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck , which is located at Paragon Shopping Centre for this year's Mother's Day Celebration!   The chef carved out a few special pieces of duck skin to go along with unpolished sugar. This is the most traditional, and the best way in my opinion, to enjoy this dish. The star of our meal was undoubtedly, the whole Peking Duck, which was delicately roasted to perfection!  It was done in a traditional Beijing rather than Hong Kong's manner, whereby the skin is sliced with a generous amount of meat with it, and is then scented by the lychee wood used in the oven.  The hand-made flour crepe, which is thin and yet elastic, made the whole Peking Duck a 'Super' success!   The Peking Duck was deliciously succulent, but the portions was slightly too much to share among the three of us. Although my baby insisted he could finish the whole thing, it was obvious he ...

Early CNY Reunion dinner at Asia Grand Restaurant + Hong Kong StreetFamily Restaurant + VivoCity, Kim Gary HK Restaurant

Image
Our relatives from KL came down to Singapore and we had an early CNY reunion dinner at Asia Grand Restaurant . Although this was my first time there, I had read many rave reviews before on this eatery place. Many of them recommended their Dim Sum selection and Peking Duck.   捞鱼生 is essential during or approaching the CNY period, as we Chinese believe that tossing of Yu Sheng will bring good luck for the coming New Year.   I was glad that the CNY menu set included the Peking Duck , and true enough, it was the star dish of the restaurant! I personally felt that it was probably one of the better, if not the best Peking Duck in Singapore.   The Fresh Prawn with Broccoli tasted good.   Drunken Chicken was pretty good too!   Steamed Fish with Fragrance Ginger     Glutinous Rice with Chinese Sausages tasted superb.       We ended our dinner on a sweet note. We had...

[random] Sunday Brunch - Hong Kong Zhai + Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen + NARS Man Ray Party

Image
Nowadays, I have a new regular Dim Sum place I will go to on weekends with Baby and Auntie Vi. 'Hong Kong Zhai' is located at Ang Mo Kio , and it is actually a humble food stall located within a coffee-shop at a HDB block. However, one should not look at this aspect, because the dim sum is pretty good and can be compared to restaurant quality! Most importantly, it is affordable! The damage was less than SGD35 for a variety of items, in which we had about 10+.  Thanks Baby for the weekend brunch treat! My CSR team had a lunch appointment with Boss Bob at Javier's Rotisserie & Salad . Thanks Boss for the lovely lunch with my follow team mates!   I attended the launch of NARS Man Ray Holiday Collection which was held at Takashimaya. The NARS make-up collection is super irresistible! Thanks Nylon for the invite!   My OOTD!   I always enjoy my SAT-DATE with my Baby, and after a long hiatus, we...
