Cartier’s Festive Ateliers at Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar + Chagee Loves Hello Kitty pop-up

Image
I attended the Cartier’s Festive Ateliers which I was held at Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar featuring classic festive treats and sparkling charms with Meryl. We had a wonderful evening, doing gingerbread decorating and handwritten Christmas cards for our loved ones! We had so fun at this magical event with Cartier . We bagged home with us the decorated cookies we had created and some parfum vials. I received a hand-written Christmas Postcard from Meryl. Thanks Cartier for sending the postcard over! Chagee collaborated with the popular Sanrio character, Tanned Hello Kitty to launch their new drink - Cocoa Oolong Milk Tea as well as exclusive merchandise themed after Tanned Hello Kitty , including Snuggle Snaps, Cuddle Slings, Plushie Charms, and Mini Charms, all available for a limited time at participating outlets. Unfortunately, the merchandises were snatched and gone within hours after the launch date! I didn’t manage to secure and, as I was eyeing for the sling bag or plushie char...

Weekend afternoon at Dempsey Hill

Image
The Heartware Store & Gallery is back with another delightful exhibition,  'Souvenirs', which is by the Dutch artist duo, We Are Out Office . They are known for turning familiar, everyday objects into colorful & fun collectibles Both Baby and I are art lovers, and upon entering the shophouse, we were greeted by a delightful fusion of colorful artworks and sculptures.  I do love their interactive artwork especially the gachapon machine .  Although we didn’t pick up any art-pieces from the gallery this time round, as the artworks weren’t our cup of tea, it was still a nice gallery overall! We also recently went to the Dom Pérignon x Takashi Murakami Pop-up at Maison Garden . I am a big fan of Takashi Murakami , and Baby loves champagne! Dom Pérignon is the apex brand amongst Champagne labels! It was a shame that the limited-edition Murakami bottles were all sold out when we visited the pop up!  Next, both baby and I attended Roku Gin ’s first ever pop up ev...

Lovely dinner with loved ones - Jumbo Seafood Restaurant + Canton Paradise

We decided to have a crab feast for dinner at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant which is located at Dempsey Hill to end Baby’s birthday.   We started off with Seafood Pumpkin Soup and a plate of Mocha Pork Spare Ribs !   We also did not forget to have our 'MUST-ORDER' item - Steamed Bamboo Clam with Garlic , which was tremendously flavorful and tasted awesome We specially ordered the signature Mee Goreng , as we Chinese believe eating noodles on your birthday signifies longevity! Of course, the main dish was  Jumbo's Signature Chilli Crab , and we ordered some fried mantou to go along with the delicious gravy. The damage was SGD160 after a reduction of SGD100 (Jumbo birthday voucher). We had a delightful dinner night-out, and Jumbo Seafood  is the perfect place for you if you have high expectations for freshness seafood! Lastly, Alles Gute zum Geburtstag and Ich Liebe Dich! Shower my love for my Baby who makes me feel extra special in life! Baby and I spent...

[random] Product review on Even Better Clinical™ Radical Dark Spot Corrector + Interrupter’ and lunch at La Salsa

Image
On a random weekend, I visited 'La Salsa' with my Baby for lunch. The restaurant is located in historic Dempsey Hill . This is my first visit and I must say I was amazed at the vibrant colors of the decor! 'La Salsa' offers authentic Mexican cuisine.  The milkshake was delicious as it came with copious amounts of whipped cream as the topping.  The Red Sparrow, a Vietnamese restaurant which is a sister company is also located nearby. You can order some of their Vietnamese fare to be served if you dine in at the La Salsa Restaurant. During my last visit to the Red Sparrow, I was addicted to their  Chả Giò (deep fried rolls)  - stuffing of fresh crab meat, prawns, minced pork and taro with a tangy sweet fish sauce. The Chicken Rice Bowl  was petite, just enough for a lady. It had quite the rustic Mexican feel to it and I found it palatable.  We tried out the Chicken Rice Bowl, Bánh Xèo Tacos and washed them a...
