[WEEKEND] Sunday brunch at House of Roasted Duck

Image
Sunday Brunch is a great meal to indulge in with family, friends, and loved ones! Therefore, Baby took me on an impromptu visit to an eatery place located at Sultan Plaza for a Sunday Brunch!     The 'House of Roasted Duck' , is headed by a Hong Kong Chef who was formally the chief 'Roast Specialist' at the Excelsior Hotel, Hong Kong , and he has opened it in Singapore!     This eatery place offers a wide selection of Hong Kong delicacies such as congee, noodles and Cantonese dim sum/side snacks.   Baby ordered the Shrimp Dumpling Noodle (soup version). The noodles were springy and the soup was flavorful too.   I prefer the BBQ Pork to their Signature Roasted Duck as the BBQ Pork was not only juicy and tender, but it tasted awesome! Being a pork lover, I couldn't help having additional servings of it! Both Baby and I enjoyed the Deep Fried Bean Curd Roll with Prawn , as we couldn'...

Birthday celebration with Friends + RKM outing with Hay Boy

Entering the blogging sphere way back in 2010 has been a great experience for me. During my journey of blogging, I had the blessing and delight to meet fellow bloggers who have since becomes my close good friends/buddies! Recently, we met up for a mookata gathering which also served as my birthday celebration. We arranged this meet up a week advance as I was spending my birthday weekend in HKG! We met up at Kin Tub Thai Steamboat which is located outside the food court of Peace Centre . We ordered a meat and seafood platter and they were priced the same. The 2 platters were served within 10mins or less after ordering. The portion was pretty generous as each platter could feed about 3-4pax! I personally prefer the meat platter as the meat was well seasoned and each piece of delectable meat is tasted flavorful! Thanks for all the lovely gifts! Hugsss everyone :) I delivered on my promise to my little neph...

[RKM loves weekends] Sunday Brunch + Random-ness

Image
If you are looking for a decent weekend Tim Sum fix, which is affordable at the same time, then you should not give ' Shi Wei Xian' a miss! It is nestled in a small coffee-shop located at Block 119 Aljunied Avenue . They ONLY open on weekends and public holidays and this practice has been on-going for many years.   We ordered Char Siew Chee Cheong Fun (Steamed Rice Roll with BBQ Pork Filling) which was freshly steamed and tasted delicious!    Ham Sui Kor has been my favorite since I was a teenager. It looked normal (not appealing) to me but the taste betrayed the exterior look. The texture of the outside skin was chewy and sweet at the same time, and this complimented well with the savory filling, which tasted awesome!    I love Steamed Pork Ribs with Chopped Chilis , and this is a MUST-ORDER for me! It is always my To-Get comfort food in every Tim Sum meal. Baby and I love the BBQ Pork Buns very much as well, and ...

[W Singapore Hotel] Splash & Dash F1 Themed Pool Party -

Image
Every September annually in Singapore, the whole island will be focusing on the night race, the  Formula One (F1) Singapore Grand Prix. Many parties with F1 theme were lined up to celebrate the special occasion. All thanks to Geraldine, we had the pleasure to attend the Exclusive Splash & Dash F1 Themed Pool Party . With the invite, we gained access to the Wet Bar and the pool at W Singapore Hotel, Sentosa Cove . We indulged ourselves with pizza and drink at the pool party. We spent our lazed afternoon at the pool party by chatting, swimming and even selfie-ing.   Our afternoon was well spent with my peers and we enjoyed the music spun by Grammy Award Winning Duo, Dirty Vegas. I end my post with random gifts received from colleagues who just came back from their holidays. I received a tin of tea leaves and Innisfree Mask from Chloe who went to Shanghai for holiday.   Thanks my favorite gir...
