[random] Jess Baby's happenings

I received a generous package by ' JEJU MAMI'  from  '0.8L Singapore' . I was overjoyed upon receiving it! I am a person who loves munching on snacks while working in the office of while being at home. Jeju Bap-Ssim uses only brown rice without adding any additives such as sweeteners or preservatives, in order to preserve the taste of healthy brown rice. I enjoyed this traditional Korean rice snack   with a cup of tea. A perfect alternative to chips and crackers, it is best eaten with a sprinkle of sugar. You can even try it out by adding seaweed flakes to it! It is definitely a great choice for snacking outdoors or at home. My take: These are great Korean snacks which are better and are a healthier alternative to a high in sugar content candy bar.   Lastly, thanks for sending the products over, and I enjoyed the snacks very much! On New Year Eve, Baby's good friend, N and his wifey, SW  invited us to their place for dinner.  This dinner served as a m...

[random] Dinner at Noodle Thai - Thai Kitchen + Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh

As mentioned before, our WFH’s  timing are different, hence this time it's my turn to prepare dinner for us while Baby is back in the office. I whipped up a simple dinner for both of us on one of the days during my WFH’s week! We had Cai Poh Omelette as usual for dinner, as this is one of the simplest dishes to cook, but more importantly it is also one of our favourite dishes! I also prepared Steamed Lala in Special sauce which I picked up from Teban Group-buy, and I added vermicelli (tang hoon) to it as well.  Lastly, I prepared the Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs . This is the most time consuming dish, as I needed to marinate the ribs, and then coat it with corn-flour before pan frying them. Making the sauce for it was the last step! I am glad that  that Baby enjoyed the dinner! I started to take days off from work in order to clear my annual leave this year. Therefore, I made my way to Harbourfront Centre to wait for Baby to knock off from work in order to have dinner to...

[Throwback] No dine-in days

I miss dining in at the food centres, as there are many delicious food options under one roof. Many might say ' you can take-out the food mah' , but honestly, do you agree with me that food taste better when dining in than take-out! I can’t wait to end the heightened alert, so we can start dine in with our family or a small group of friends again. Paradise Dynasty is having a 20% discount for self-pick up, and I combined this with an additional 15% off from my Grab app! We made use of this opportunity to get a combo dinner set for 2! We saved quite a bit on the damage. On a random Saturday, we picked up our dinner from  Li Fang Congee,  which is located at  Kinex  on a   random Saturday.   I love it very much, even though I didn't get to eat at the premises. Green Chilli Chicken Rice  is located at the  Sims Vista Market & Food Centre which is within walking distance from our place. It is about 3-5mins mins walk. I love their basmati rice...

Dinner at Casa Roma Ristorante Italiano + Lam's Garden

Image
On a random weekend, we made use of the generous dining deal from the 'eatigo app' to enjoy a 20% discount on our Italian fare at Casa Roma Ristorante Italiano which is located at The Grandstand.   Italian cuisine tends  to be slightly pricey as compared to other cuisines, but the prices at the Casa Roma seemed to be more comfortable to our pockets than other Italian eateries.   On top of that, I was given an additional SGD20 cash voucher as well to further offset my meal damage! We only paid SGD41 in total after all the discounts and deductions, which made our damage a very affordable one! Baby and I brought HayBoy to the Pepper Lunch's Teppan City Venture , and it was the first ever pop up art installation in Asia! It was located at the  Capitol Building . We received a SGD5 Pepper Lunch voucher each after completing answering the questionnaire on all the stations at the event premises. We also received some Pepper Lunch premiums too! Tha...
