3D2N getaway to KL

Image
I had a short getaway (3D2N) to Kuala Lumpur (KL) on a weekend by Scoot!! Our flight was 9-ish in the morning, and we reached the airport around 730pm on a Friday morning. The moment we landed in KLIA2 , it was time for brunch.  As usual, Daddy Mike picked up us from the airport, and we still maintained our usual habit of having Bak Kut Teh for our breakfast. The joint that we normally go to is  Restoran Chuan Chiew ! This eatery is at Subang Jaya SS14 , and if you are nearby, do give it a try! We checked in to the  Sunway Pyramid Hotel for 2 nights’ stay. We were upgraded as the previous room given to us wasn't up to mark. Thankfully, the upgraded room was spacious and clean. The view from our room! After dropping our bags off, we went for some shopping at Sunway Pyramid, and Baby picked up some clothes from Padini and Sport Direct while I got myself a t-shirt dress and a romper from Forever21. I paid  RM120 for these two items as they were on sale! It wa...

[random] Welcome July!

Image
Finally JJM reunited on a random Sunday at Bukit Panjang Plaza for lunch. We settled at Eng’s Wanton Mee . Thanks for the lovely treat! We enjoyed the egg noodles very much.   After our lunch, we walked over to nearby Hillion Mall to attend the launch of Lafre . We received a pre-register goodies pack kit and they also gave out more Lafre sanitary pad samples to us to try out!  We went back to Bukit Panjang Plaza to have some light bites at Pizza Hut , as Meryl had some great deals for us! Lastly, both Baby and I suggested to have Peranakan food for dinner, so we drove to Binjai Park to introduce to our friends one of our favorite restaurants! Ivins is a classic peranakan restaurant which has been around for 30 years or more, and is my Baby's childhood favorite joint. Since we were the only ones who had been to this eatery place before, we took over the ordering instead. We ordered 5 dishes and 2 soups for the 5 of us. We we...

[random] Dinner at Jumbo Seafood @ ECP + Chang Sensory Trails

Image
Recently, the 'Sales & CSR Department' in my company organised a dinner gathering at Jumbo Seafood @ ECP. Thanks Boss David for the dinner treat!  We ordered Fried Fritter Dough stuffed with Sotong Meat , and it tasted better with the accompanying dipping sauce! Apart from the Fried Fritter, we also ordered Baby Squid, Bamboo Clam, Chicken Satay, Steamed Fish and Fried seasonal greenies!   Lastly, the main dish that we had ordered was finally served on our dining table! It was Jumbo's signature Chili Crab , and we ordered some Fried Mantou to go along with the delicious gravy.  We had a pleasurable experience and gathering at Jumbo Seafood.  Meryl joined RKM on a random weekend to pop by the ' Chang Sensory Trails' event. It is a global campaign that brings the vibrancy of Thai food culture to the world!  We had some yummy Chicken Skewers from Nara Thai Cuisine, and each stic...

[part 1] Firefly to Subang

Image
I was on leave recently and I am headed Subang, Selangor!! I was pretty much excited about taking Firefly, a domestics airline within Malaysia-Singapore myself, and this also marked my first time ever flying alone…     I collected my boarding pass at Changi Airport Terminal 2, and headed to the destined gate for departure. For all Firefly flights, all passengers need to be ferried to the hanger boarding by bus. It was definitely the first time for me as most flights which depart from Singapore are connected with a tunnel walkway from gate to the entrance of the aircraft.   Baby will be picking me up Subang SkyPark Terminal as he was there a day earlier for his work related seminar.     Firefly is a propeller aircraft with a small capacity and the flying time from Singapore to Subang takes about 1 hour and 15mins.   Though I was flying alone and the flying time took longer than a normal jet plane, nev...
