English Afternoon Tea at The Landing Point, The Fullerton Bay Hotel

Image
I was extremely glad to be back at The Fullerton Bay Hote l to enjoy a traditional English Afternoon Tea at The Landing Point ! Thanks so much to the hotel for this complimentary gift! There are two seating time-slots available for the afternoon tea on weekends, and we chose the later timing slot of 3.30 - 6.00pm. I personally felt that it was pretty reasonable to have more than 2 hours of nibbles and tea to keep our bellies full of happiness! Upon being seated, we were given a drink menu to order from various choices of tea by the pot. I went for the 'Silver Moon' , while Baby opted for the signature 'Fullerton Express' tea. Both of these are from the TWG Tea Company , and they tasted lovely. The atmosphere was great, with a splendid view of the Marina Bay Sands as we were given indoor bar seats next to full length glass windows. Sipping tea on a Saturday afternoon is tops in anyone's book! During our visit, the hotel was hav...

[all about makan] Char Restaurant + Sumire Yakitore House

Image
Auntie Shelley and Vi-Vien came down to Singapore, and both Baby and I were their host for the night!     We brought them for dinner at Char Restaurant which is located at Guillemard Road, mainly because we miss their signature Triple Roast Platter very much.     We selected the choice of Charred BBQ Pork (Char Siew), Crispy Pork Belly (Sio Bak) and Roasted Duck .As usual, I love the char siew as it was well-grilled but the standard of pork belly seemed to drop slightly as compared to my previous 2 visits last year. Their Roasted Duck was not my cup of tea at all since my first visit to the Restaurant.     We enjoyed the Minced Meat with Aubergine in Casserole and it tasted as good as before. It went well with our white rice.     We had some greenies (stir-fried kai lan with garlic) and Soup of the Day (Spare Ribs with Bittergroud).     We had a delightful dinner and chilling ses...

[spa review] 4-in-1 Lavender Mint Body Spa Indulgence at My Cozy Room

Image
Without a doubt, everybody including myself, are leading a busy lifestyle in Singapore. As the standard of living is very high, it results in many people having heavy schedules and workloads in order to catch up with the fast and hectic pace of urban lifestyle. To be honest, as a working adult, I too have very little time to pamper myself.     After attending the  Summer's Eve event at My Cozy Room Spa, I was offered their 4-in-1 Lavender Mint Body Spa Indulgence . I accepted gladly this precious opportunity as it has been a long time since I last indulged myself for a nice body massage on a weekend.     'My Cozy Room' Boutique Spa is a one-stop beauty parlour that offers great service to pamper your face and body. It is a hidden gem which is located just a stone's throw away from the bustling city of Orchard Road.     My experience was wonderful, and this place was nicely set up with a...

[#BLOGMEETSG] Afternoon tea at Hediard Café + OOTD

Image
I was glad that I attended the #BLOGMEETSG networking event, and I was introduced to many lifestyle brands that I have never heard of before. I was delighted to familiarize myself with these brands, and some of these accessories went pretty well with my daily OOTD.   I went for an informal photo-session at Adam Park, a nice and quiet place with a rich history of WWII. The Panama Hat given to me by "Hat of Cain" was very good as it gave my head adequate shade!     Now, I am addicted to owning Panama hats, and they have began being part of my accessories during outings. A big addition to my OOTD!       Apart from the Panama hat, I wore silk threaded and colored bangles from Simone Irani , and they added more colors to my dark-colored outfits.     Thanks Simone Irani for the lovely bangles, and I love them loads!     Hediard Café is one of the brands sponsoring the #...
