Together with SM, we went to AMK to have our lunch at ‘Jian Zao Ipoh Curry Noodle’ which is located at Johnson Eatery . The different thing about ‘Jian Zao Ipoh Curry Noodle’ that sets it apart from other Curry Noodles was that the curry gravy was slightly sweet but was chockful of umami flavour! We poured in the prepared squeezed lime juice which was available, and that provided a refreshing dimension to the curry broth. It also reduced the greasiness of the broth! We went with a mix of silky hor fun and springy yellow noodles as our choice of carbs. I was surprised that there wasn’t a hint of alkaline taste at all from the yellow noodles, making it a satisfying meal. The bowl of fragrant curry gravy was accompanied by generous ingredients like crunchy bean sprouts, char siew, roasted pork, shredded chicken, tau pok, and long beans.
