[All about food] Nagara Thai Gold + Julaiha Muslim Restaurant

Image
Baby and I visited the flagship outlet of Nagara Thai Gold at City Square Mall .  Thai meals always begins with the Prawn Cake , and these are chubby golden pucks stuffed with minced prawn and served with a sticky, garlicky sweet sauce. We were really impressed with the prawn cake. They were large, and they tasted absolutely amazing. We also ordered the Claypot Tanghoon with Prawn . All Thai meals are not considered complete without a serving of  Tom Yum Nam Kun . We loved the balance of flavors that range between tangy and spicy. Lastly, a final crowd-pleaser, we had the Deep-fried Pork with Garlic .  The total damage was SGD55 after a 10% discount off from using the Kris+ app! I came to know about Julaiha Muslim Restaurant after some recommendation from my colleagues! I decided to visit this eatery place after our work for dinner.  This place is pretty near from where we stay, maybe only 5-8 minutes away. It is open 24 hours, it is a relatively hot spot for suppe...

[food review] Introduce Thai dishes to Citrus by the Pool's menu

Image
3 years ago, I was invited to Citrus by the Pool for a food tasting session, and 3 years later, I was back here again for another round of food tasting session! It is a Halal certified café that is located right beside  Woodlands Swimming Complex , and   the café  offers a variety of Western and Thai Asian fusion cuisine.  Upon stepping into the premises, we were attracted by the main entrance of the café, and we couldn’t resist taking photos against the background. We had another round of double date, and it was all thanks to Tracy and Ericia for extending the tasting invite to me and my Hubby - Kel. Citrus by the Pool  is  a great eatery place for you to bring your family and friends to for a scrumptious feast. Recently, they have introduced Thai dishes into their menu.   We started our tasting with some classic drinks such as  Lemongrass Tea  and  Cranberry Apple Tea . For a nostalgic experience, you can opt for the...

Dinner at Teahouse 1973 + Misc Local Eats

Image
I was pretty sad to learn that my bosom colleague/friend Suni had submitted her resignation letter. Her last day in the company was coming real soon.  Leaving the company doesn't mean losing a friend, and this is an assurance she repeats to us. However, the thought of not being able to meet her anymore daily in the office made us all feel gloomy. However, we are comforted by the fact that she ensured she would meet up with us often to catch up over a meal!   I invited the Lee family over to join me for a swim during the Hari Raya holiday, and they enjoyed themselves very much, especially Baby Rena. We took a photo at the SkyPark!  We went to nearby café - Teahouse 1973 for dinner. It is a humble café which serves traditional home recipes of culinary flavors of Penang, Malaysia in a modern twist. I ordered the Nasi Lemak with Sambal Sotong. This ‘atas’ Nasi Lemak is beautifully plated - blue butterfly pea rice, with a dollop of sambal chilli on top. Together with other i...

Fabric Adhesive Tape Cleaners by RAONTRM + Soi 47 Thai Food at King George Road

Image
I re-visited  Soi 47 Thai Food  after a fairly long hiatus due to the Circuit Breaker. This eatery place is located at  King George Road .  We started off with our favorite  Thai Prawn Cake , and it tasted super yummy! We had our mains -  Fried Olive Rice  and  Phad Thai with Seafood ! We also ordered a bowl of  Tom Yum Cream Soup with Seafood . The spiciness level was just right for us, as it was pretty authentic. The soup does come with a generous portion of seafood, which included fried fish and prawn. The total damage was about SGD29! Are you facing the following pains in daily cleaning, such as lint on your everyday clothes? You may perhaps be looking for the right tool to roll away lint or pet fur from your clothes or even your sofa, or even eliminate dust on your furniture or car seats! I was glad that the company  '0.8L Singapore'  sent me the Fabric Adhesive Tape Cleaners from RAONTRM directly from Korea! With th...

[Dine & Drink] Dinner at Mrs Pho & New Teck Kee Chicken Rice Restaurant + Sixteen Ounces

Image
I really enjoy the food served by the Vietnamese eatery 'Mrs Pho' , and I am glad that Baby brought me there during one of our random dinner dates!  Mrs Pho  was opened by Vietnamese nationals, and they promise a slice of Saigon when you enter the premises! There is no fusion food in the menu, as they offer only traditional Vietnamese food. We always order the  Fried Spring Roll (Cha Gio)  as our side dish. Each spring roll is stuffed with  juicy filling and is deep-fried to a perfect crisp.   I had  chicken Noodle (Pho Ga)  for myself, and the flat rice noodle was cooked to perfection. I love the broth too, and I always enhance the taste of the soup by squeezing lime and adding a dash of fish sauce that Vietnamese restaurants always provide.   The total damage was about SGD40 and this was inclusive of the 2 glasses of  Salty lemonade drink (Chanh Muai), 2 main courses and 2 side dishes . The service is friendly and e...
