Opening Reception of World Gourmet Summit 2017
The World Gourmet Summit was first started in 1997, and it is a culinary event that is held annually in Singapore. Its objective is to showcase dining offerings in Singapore and promote local chefs while featuring Michelin-starred chefs and wine vintners from around the world. The World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence (AOE) 2017 honored 39 outstanding professionals and establishments from F&B and hospitality industries. Singapore has attracted and retained many repeat visitors and even well-known F&B industry stakeholders into the country, and brings not only tourism dollars but recognition within the region and on a global level. I was glad to be invited to the Opening Reception of World Gourmet Summit 2017 which was held at the One Farrer Hotel & Spa .
