The 'ICON SEARCH' is a marquee annual event which is organized by Huayi, and is widely known as the most influential talent search and star incubator platform in China. I attended the Grand Finals for the Huayi Brothers Fashion Group 2018 Icon Search (Singapore Stop) which was held at the Resorts World Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa . I was there with my Baby to support our good friend, Tiffany Yong, who was a participant in the acting category. After going through various rounds of video and live auditions, the judges had decided on 50 finalists, consisting of 25 actors and 25 singers. I have always loved to watch Hong Kong TVB dramas and serials since I am a teenager, and I remembered being hooked on a particular series named 澳门街 , which starred Julian Cheung and Charmaine Sheh . I am glad that the sequel was released on the big screen instead of being made into a new drama series.   Return of the Cuckoo is based on the well-loved HKG drama of the same name, which was broadcasted way back in 2000. The movie continues the story from where the drama left off.     I was glad to be invited by Clover Films to attend the Red Carpet Session as well as the Gala Premiere of the Return of the Cuckoo . A week ago, I was invited by Clover Films to the Red Carpet session and Gala Premiere of King of Mahjong which is premiering on the 19th February 2015. The premiere date of 'King of Mahjong' is set on the first day of CNY which marks the first Mahjong themed movie in Singapore.   Our Singapore's twins, Hayley and Jayley Woo appear as cameos in the movie. I used to watch HKG movies which featured Mahjong themes and most of them were directed by famous HKG director, Wong Jing. He is still the king of gambling themed comedy movies. 'King of Mahjong' which is directed by Malaysian director, Adrian Teh, and it runs for 112 minutes. I attended the Gala Premiere of ‘ The Lion Men: Ultimate Showdown’ which was held at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). It was a big surprise for me to see such movie produced by Jack Neo as it is definitely a breakthrough movie piece from him. The movie revolves around rival lion dance troupes in Singapore. A liberal-looking traditional troupe, Tiger Crane a.k.a 'Hu He' which was led by Mikey (played by Wang Wei Liang) and new generation lion troupe, 'Storm Riders' which was led by former member of Tiger Crane, Shi Shen (starring Tosh Zhang). 'Storm Riders' infused modern hip hop dance and flashy acrobatics. 'The Lion Men: Ultimate Showdown' set up as Shi Shen prepared himself to face off against Mikey in the Lion Dance Competition Finals.
