Media Sake Tasting Event + Dinner at CALI Rochester

Image
I met up with my usual clique for dinner, and we settled at one of the CALI  outlets which is located at Park Avenue Rochester . This lovely eatery place specialises in Southwest cuisine (including Mexican food). The CALI Wings were well-marinated and tasted fantastic, making it as a great option as a side dish. I highly recommend the Baby Back Ribs , as the meat literally melted in my mouth.  The Chicken Fajitas tasted great, and we loved the tantalizing caramelised onions. To enjoy the fajita to the fullest, simply put the chicken meat and the onion in a tortilla wrap with the given condiments and greens. \ We were surprised by the price tag of the Lava Torte , but when we tasted it, I could respect the price! This finest dessert is truly worth every single dollar. The Lava Torte has a rich, gooey lava centre. Overall, we enjoyed everything that we had ordered. Money well-spent and truly eaten! CALI Rochester is perfect gathering place for family and friends, as wel...

[REVIEW] Food tasting at Pies & Coffee

Image
Pies & Coffee is a specialist of handcrafted gourmet pies with buttery, short-crust pastries, that present a greater dining experience that extends beyond the enjoyment of pies!    I love the entrance of Pies & Coffee which is located at Rochester Mall , so when Meryl extended her invite to me to the media tasting at Pies & Coffee , I got so excited over it. During the tasting, I was introduced to not only their signature, but their new launch of savory hot meals.   We started off with New England Clam Chowder Soup , and I love the rich texture. It tasted very flavorful and complemented very well with the crusty bread bowl.   The Lobster Bisque Baked Rice is a well-prepared dish as it needs about 6 hours to prepare.   The best-selling, Beef Cheek is my favorite pick of the night. The beef chunks tasted fabulous and each piece of tender meat went well with the pie crust.   Barbecue Chicke...

Claire's birthday celebration at 2fifteen Kitchen

Image
Claire invited a handful of bloggers (including me) to her 23rd birthday celebration at 2fifteen Kitchen couple weeks ago. It is located at Rochester Mall , which is a short distance away from Buona Vista MRT Station. Rochester Mall is a new mall located at Rochester Drive, and do follow the sign-board as it only accessible from its own entrance. I love the elegant setting and the ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner and this will impress your date. I was glad to be part of Claire’s birthday celebration. She was so sweet to make the placards for each of her invited guests. I spotted my name, and I sat beside Shu Qing and James Aw. The teams at 2fifteen Kitchen  were so kind to prepare us the read-out menu for the night. It looked like a scroll, and it’s time to un-scroll it to see what we were having during the birthday dinner.  The dinner menu is specially prepared by Kenny Yeo , who has helmed renowned restaurants in Singapore...
