[KL Weekend Getaway] Iberico Kitchen + Ashley's by Living Food + Canton-I

Image
Weekend has always been fun for RKM, and this time, we drove up to KL again on a Friday night. Shopping and Malan-ing is what we do every time we are in KL.   Uncle Mike brought us to a very nice place on a Saturday night for dinner. Iberico Kitchen is located at Oasis Square, Ara Damansara , and they are famous for  Black Pig Spare Ribs .     The setting was simple, and the spacious eatery place was pretty plain without much emphasis placed on he interior design. It bears an industrial theme with rustic wood, bricks and steel all over the place. It has an open-concept kitchen with a choice for alfresco or indoor dining.   We had Iberico Pork Chop which was served with mashed potato and seasonal Ggeens. It  was pretty delicious! The meat was pretty lean, but to our surprise it remained juicy. All I can say is, best pork chop ever!   We ordered Iberico Collar Fried Rice and it tasted amazing. The f...

[food review] Café Borsa

Image
I was invited to a quaint and family/homely like-setting bistro, the 'Cafe Borsa' for a food tasting session. Café Borsa is located along Changi Road, and it is a new eatery place opened in April this year.     The very nice and kind Wei Wei invited me and Baby to the café, which was set up by her equally friendly and affable parents and younger brother (who wasn't present). The café was set up as a western cuisine eatery to cater to even our Muslim friends, as all the food is halal certified. The food ranges from finger food/snacks, to more main dishes, such as pasta, sandwiches, chicken wings and etc, which I will detail more upon shortly.     Wei Wei's daddy is the head chef of the eatery, and his skill stems from his hobby of experimenting on food and refining his technique. He is a passionate cook, and frequently invents his own recipes by watching various food programmes on television, in conjunction with reading cookbooks and meshing ...

Weekend brunch at KRAZY Salads

Image
RKM had a date with Godma for a Saturday brunch at the newly opened food joint, KRAZY Salads. It is located at Toa Payoh Central and near to Saizeriya Ristorante E Caffe.       I love their signature ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT salad bar as they never fail to disappoint with their generous selection. The buffet comes free with any main course ordered.       A quick overview of the salad bar, and it comprises of salads, soups, different pastas, ice-cream and much more!     There were 3 types of soups (Minestrone, Clam Chowder and Cream of Mushroom) available at the salad bar. The soups tasted amazing and will leave you asking for more!     If you do not have a big capacity for food, just order the Salad Bar Buffet as it will be enough to fill you up!   I ordered Hickory BBQ Chicken , and you choose between   Old-Style Chips or Baked Potato to go with it. I opted for Baked Potato...
