Sentosa Island Lights with Sanrio Characters + Lunch at Mui Kee Congee

Image
The 'Sentosa Island Lights' event was back again, and the theme this time was characters from Sanrio! It featured  larger-than-life Sanrio character inflatables, including everyone’s favorite Hello Kitty, My Melody and the cutest Little Twin Stars .  The event had us going on a trip down memory lane at Sentosa, as it also showcased on the early beginnings and history of Sentosa!   I managed to secure a slot for Sentosa Island Lights with Sanrio Characters on a random Friday which was three days before the event ended. We made our way after our dinner at VivoCity. Upon entering the premises, we walked through this tunnel of heart shaped lights into the main Island Lights with Sanrio Characters grounds. This was the first light installation at Island Lights with Sanrio Characters once we entered the main ground. The larger than life Hello Kitty welcomed us with a harp that holds some of her favorite things, as well as a miniature Sentosa Gateway Arch ! The next sto...

[inaugural] FIJI Water Wellness Village at Sapphire Pavilion

Image
FIJI Water held its first Wellness Village at the Sapphire Pavilion at Siloso Beach , and I attended the FIJI Water Wellness Village with my Yogi buddy, Jasmine! We experienced doing yoga on a golden sandy beach in Sentosa. FIJI Water provides ' Wellness at its Finest' , and it helps consumers to lead a healthier lifestyle. This event, FIJI Water Wellness Village was a free entry event which allowed opportunities for passer-bye to visit and experience the village while getting acquainted with the FIJI Water brand.  Water is the most important factor in staying healthy and keeping one’s body hydrated. Staying healthy and wellness are the core values for FIJI Water .  I took many random OOTDs with the many 'Fiji' themed colorful beach-themed floats.  We went for the first session of the sundown yoga, and we were taught some basic yoga moves. Although the movements were meant for beginners, it was still a sig...

[welcome 2015] Siloso Beach Party 2014

Image
Happy 2015! How had 2014 been for you? Did 2014 treat you kindly? I spent my New Year’s Eve at Siloso Beach Party , Asia's Largest Countdown Party all thanks to SPRG for the invite! I was glad that I had fun counting down to the New Year at the beach party instead of staying up at home.   Just like the previous years, I met up with my peers outside Sentosa Island for some wine which we brought from home. We started entering the venue after we had our drink fix, but before midnight of course, in order to catch the fireworks. Unlike the previous years, where getting into Siloso Beach for the party was a logistical nightmare, it was fairly easy this time around! I was surprised that the organisers have learnt from their past experiences and ensured that security checks were done smoothly and quickly. There were 5 distinct party zones - Main Arena, Azzura Beach Club, Coastes/Bikini Bar/Sand Bar, Mambo beach club and Wave House...

[Last bow] Sentosa’s Signature Songs of the Sea

Image
I made my way to Sentosa to attend the Farewell Party of Songs of the Sea , and I was pretty sad to hear that Songs of the Sea and their mascot, Oscar,  were going to be history. Oscar was part of our ‘growing up’ friends during childhood days. Thanks Sweetie for the extended invite to enjoy the very last time of the performance from Songs of the Sea. Sentosa’s signature Songs of the Sea show cast its spell over the audiences from Singapore and the world for one very last time with a dazzling display of fireworks, enthusiastic singing along and spirited goodbyes with the cast. After a successful seven-year run, the world’s only night extravaganza set in the sea has captivated 8.5 million guests with a unique blend of live cast, dramatic effects and pyrotechnics. The closure of Songs of the Sea is to make way for the brand new multimedia night spectacular – Wings of Time.   Wings of Time, produced by the award-winning events company ECA2 , is ...
