[food review] 新美香卤面 Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee + Yellow Cab Pizza Co.

I am a huge fan of  新美香卤面  Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee , and on a random weekend, I was at the Tampines area, hence I visited the Tampines branch!  新美香卤面  Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee 's  popularity rose tremendously with locals over the years, and they also gained significant recognition by many media platforms. With their recent expansions, we were delighted to know that this nostalgic taste has becoming more accessible. Now, they have six outlets - Balestier, Clementi West, Holland Drive, Bishan, Tampines, and, of course, their flagship stall at Old Airport Road. 新美香卤面  Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee   is known famously for long queues. Many patrons still patiently brave the long lines and queue, just to have a bowl of comforting traditional Lor Mee. Apart from the traditional/classic Lor Mee, they've also introduced some new creative variations, such as chicken cutlet, crispy fish and even scallops.  The  Double Fish Lor Mee  is a personal favorite of min...

1664 Good Taste With A Twist pop-up experience + Dinner & Drinks gathering

Image
Both Baby and I headed down to the  ‘1664 Good Taste With A Twist’ pop-up experience which was held outside the Mandarin Gallery . All registrants are entitled to a complimentary glass of 1664 Blanc, 1664 Lager, or 1664 Rosé . We took part in a quiz that was related to knowledge about the beer, and upon meeting some requirements, we got to customize our own tote bag! Lastly, thanks Rue 1664 for the lovely tote bag! Recently, I signed up for 2 events from 42Race App , so Baby brought me to East Coast Park to complete my virtual run. Yes, I have successfully obtained an e-badge each from each event from the App! I recently prepared Cod Fish with Chye Poh at home. This is pretty simple dish to prepare as I steamed the fish first. While the fish was steaming, I heated up the frying pan to prepare the sauce with the Chye Poh to pour it over the steamed fish before serving! I am glad that Baby enjoyed the dinner! Apart from the cod fish, I also prepared ‘Ru Rou Fan’ with the h...

CNY visit at East Coast Residences + Keljessloft's home-prepared Claypot Chicken Rice

Image
To usher in this Year of the Tiger, we picked up a potted plant for good luck, and I also made an appointment with my regular hairstylist for a haircut. I felt fresher after the haircut. Many thanks to Shinya-san for the nice haircut!  A lovely day-out with KaeGirl! We went to the National Museum of Singapore for an Otah & Friends Excursion! We prepared a simple breakfast on Day 01 of the CNY. We picked up this lucky Sweet Bao Set from Teban Group-buy, and this set cost SGD10. During CNY's period, Baby's good friend Nick Allen and his wifey, SW invited us to his place for dinner. They had just moved into their new place at the East Coast Residences . This dinner served as a mini  house-warming and CNY's meet up!  Wow! I love their spacious patio/balcony, and the way they had decorated it made it a perfect laid-back retreat after a hard day's work! I played with their 1 year old plus daughter, and I am glad that she loves being with us! We had a heart-warming and...
