Random meet-ups with my usual clique

Image
I love to spend our weekends in the pool, as it is the best way to relax my mind while jacuzzi-ing away … It's another re-visit to Pigsfly Kitchen & Bar  with Meryl again! It is a casual dining eatery place which is located at East Coast Road (Katong area) , and also a place where people come together for the love of food and beer. You will find various independent kitchens serving up a variety of cuisines and a bar which serves a wide selection of artisanal beers, wine and champagne! We really love their Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan very much! We also love the food concept setting and it is a great place to catch up with your friends over a drink! I attended the Onda Pro Launch Party with Jasmine at GUOCO MIDTOWN, MIDTOWN MARKET. During the event, we were treated to sip on a glass of the handcrafted gin cocktail at the HENDRICK'S DRINKS CART. We were also treated to some interesting activities such as creating our own bouquet with fresh or dried blooms, custom wrappers...

[Food Review] Fook Kin 福劲 + Polar Bear Sisters

Image
I recently had a dinner date with Tracy at  Fook Kin 福劲 , which is located a short walk away from Somerset MRT.  As we were approaching the eatery place, we could see that  Fook Kin adopts  a Chinese concept, whereby the restaurant’s signboard was in Chinese words as well.  The exterior of the restaurant had traditional foldable gates like the older stores in Singapore, giving it a touch of nostalgia. Upon entering the eatery, we were greeted with a cheeky sign… Oh well, it explains just how much they appreciate our visit.  The neon lights in the restaurant reminded us of a modernised bar, which might be more attractive to the younger crowd.  Of course, you’ll need some drinks to go with your meal. We opted for a cup of boring  Honey Lemon and a bottle of exciting Fook Kin Beer , which was surprisingly refreshing!  Nothing special about the Curry Maggi Mee - Just instant noodle with Roasted Pork.  Naturally, we had to try the crowd ...

Opening event of Leeu SG - Artisanal Ice-cream Parlor

Image
Leeu SG is a home-grown artisanal ice-cream parlor which was founded by Husband-and-Wife team, Jenn Wei Yeo and Valerie Liu. The shop has officially opened their doors at  The Esplanade! The parlor name was named after Singapore's national animal, the lion. 'Leeu' is the Afrikaans word for 'lion'. The inspiration behind the name was obtained from their safari adventure last year. Therefore, they worked on a brand that paid homage to the lion and the city-state of Singapore which the lion proudly represents! The duo started Leeu SG.     Every creation on their menu is infused with the spirit of Singapore. Their signature creations are the Merlion Ice Pop and Esplanade Ice Cream. Their menu holds a significant representation of Singapore. All the dessert items on the menu are carefully hand-crafted using top grade ingredients.     Introducing the Icy Merlion , it is a patriotic-looking confectionery of stra...

[Pleasure Seekers] MAGNUM INFINITY

Image
MAGNUM threw their first Infinity Playground a couple of weeks ago at the  ORGO , a bar on the roof terrace of The Esplanade.     I had a lovely gathering with Joanne, Chewy and Jia Hui at the Magnum's First Infinity Playground .     We took many photos before we entered the premises of the Ma gnum launch and we captured many beautiful views of Singapore.             It was my first time at the roof terrace, and I managed to capture the sunset.       With a nice entrance, a free flow of Magnum ice-cream, canapés, wines and alcohol spirits, I just couldn't help myself from feeling good to be part of this celebration launch.         This year, I was kinda disappointed as they omitted the DIY personalized Magnum ice-cream with various toppings which they used to have for past launches.   ...
