My food review - Zaffron Kitchen + Kanada-Ya + Ho Fook Hei Soy Sauce Chicken

Image
I love to spend our weekends in the pool, as it is the best way to chase the working stress away!   We visited Zaffron Kitchen which is located at East Coast Road (Katong area) , and I really have to say they have exceeded our expectations! We really enjoyed ourselves and we have ear-marked it as our go-to restaurant whenever we have a craving for Indian cuisine. To accompany the protein we had Basmanti Biryani Rice and Naan Garlic . The biryani rice was cooked to perfection, as it was flavorful and tasty, especially as it was spiced with garam masala. It was a good companion for the main dishes. The Naan Garlic had a fluffy and chewy soft texture, and had a delicate and savory herbal spice flavor. Both of us loved it so much! The boneless Chicken Tikka had a tender and moist texture, with a bold and savory yet sweet spicy smoky flavor! However, our favorite dish of the day has got to be this dish - Butter Chicken ! The boneless tender chicken  chunks were flavorful. Th...

[random] Afternoon date with Meryl + Dinner at Kanada-Ya.

I entered the world of blogging way back in 2010, and it has been a great experience for me. I am happy to have met some blogger friends during my blogging journey whom have become my close good friends/buddies! One of my closest friends from this journey is Meryl! Our paths crossed way back in 2014 when we attended a random food tasting together. We became closer as the years went by, and we've created many lovely memories together. We will definitely have more lovely memories together in the near future! We met up recently on a random afternoon for some cakes and tea at Starbucks  which is located at the PLQ Mall . Both Baby and I love ramen, and we settled our dinner at  Kanada-Ya. Yes,   finally I got my chance to dine in at the flagship store - Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) , as the queue was insanely long since the day they opened two years ago. Apart from ramen, we also ordered one side dish, the  Crab Cream Croquette  to share between us, and it tasted ...

[random] Eating out at Kanada-Ya + Changi Jewel

Image
Singaporeans love ramen, and lately there have been many new ramen restaurants spotted in Singapore.  Finally, I got the chance to try out Kanada-Ya which recently opened in November at Marina Square . Previously, when the flagship store was opened at Paya Lebar Quarter last December, the queue was horrendous. I was forced to give up and to seek another meal alternative in the mall instead! You can probably understand why I was elated when another new outlet opened so close to my workplace! Baby went for the  Basic Tonkotsu Mix Ramen , while I had the Basic Black Garlic Ramen , and they tasted equally delicious.  We also tried one side dish, the Crab Cream Croquette . It was marvellous! Not only was the batter  super crunchy, but it was also fluffy and light, without the any greasiness. This is a satisfactory meal. The ramen is good, and I will come back again. I paid SGD50 for two persons. A little treat for my Baby!  At Jiu Gong Ge hotpot ( 九 宫格火锅 ) , they ...
