If you are a fan of the movie, 'SHREK', then you are in for a treat, as ' SHREK THE MUSICAL', a theatrical show that is based on the same Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation Film , is now performing 'LIVE' for the first time in Singapore at the MasterCard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands. The show will be on from the 8th June 2016 for a limited season . This live adaptation of the popular animation film Shrek brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favourite ogre to the stage. In a far away kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an ogre not a handsome prince shows up to rescue a feisty princess. I love the fart joke segment between Princess Fiona and Shrek as well as the tap dance by Fiona and the rats. SHREK THE MUSICAL is an amiable and well-crafted show that fills up the gap in the family friendly audience market, but unfortunately, the only grouse I had with the play overall was the lack of a memorable tune.
