A trip to Super Mario-themed installations at Jewel Changi

Image
Being a Super Mario Bros fan, I asked Meryl to join me to the Super Mario-themed installations - Pipe Around The World at  Jewel Changi. We saw many familiar elements from the Super Mario games, such as the pipes, Super Mushrooms, Super Star and Question Mark block! We had so much fun  taking photos with all these cute larger-than-life displays! We spent more than SGD50 in a single receipt at Jewel Changi for our dinner.  I purchased the exclusive items, a 2-in-1 cushion and neck pillow and a travel pouch. They will be great for my upcoming birthday trip! Thanks for being there for me always! I got 2 separate special deliveries from my dearest neighbour!  One of them was this cute Peppermint Milk Tea shaped Gingerbread Bottle from GongCha ! I especially liked the scarf that was wrapped around the  snowman’s neck. Love the bottle loads!! Thanks Tracy for her gifts from her Japan holidays! I got my nails done for this festive season, with the aid from my lovely n...

[random] Dinner at Tampopo Grand + DaXi + Mandala Club

Image
To beat the crowd, we decided to have an early dinner instead. We visited Tampopo Grand which is located on the 4th level of Takashimaya Shopping Centre. It is different from Tampopo, as Tampopo Grand is an upscale Japanese restaurant that serves seasonal food imported from Japan. I went for the Cold Soba Set which came along with a plate of  Tempura Moriawase  and S almon Sashimi . Baby went for the Hot Udon Set which came along with a plate of  Tempura Moriawase  and Salmon Sashim i too. We ordered a plate of Salmon and Crab Roll , and it was delicious! The total damage was pricey,  and we paid SGD94 which included 2 cups of hot Ocha! I really love the holographic Christmas tree outside of  Wisma Atria , and I enjoyed a more futuristic feel this Christmas! I suggested to Baby that I wanted to take photos against the unique Christmas tree that looks like a colorful film strip rolled into a shape of a tree! I love shopping in Coo.Seoul+, as it offers sty...

[All about food] Home-cooked Claypot Chicken Rice + Tambuah Mas + DaXi + Gu Zao Ren Taiwan Porridge + Tampopo + Hi Fan Tian

Yay! It is Baby's cooking time! Baby used Chicken Boneless Leg meat for a Claypot Chicken Rice (via Rice Cooker) which he made for a quick dinner. By marinating the Chicken meat with Dark Soy sauce, Corn Flour, Sesame Oil, Chinese cooking wine and with a dash of salt and pepper, you're all set for a delicious and protein filled meal! Yes, I am ready to dig in! Thanks for cooking, Baby! My mid-week dinner was at Tambuah Mas , an Indonesian restaurant which is located at Orchard Paragon . It serves authentic Indonesia food fare and the service is pretty efficient too. In general, the food was tasted pretty good but my stand out dish is still the Tauhu Telur . Overall, the dining experience was great and the damage was pretty decent too! DaXi is an Asian fusion restaurant that specializes in handmade dumplings and Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan. We decided to settle our dinner at DaXi, Vivocity after our mooncakes shopping with 'A', my friend! Their Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan  飘香卤肉饭   c...
