The launch of Great Eastern Women's Run
'Scorching me' witnessed the success of the Launch of the Great Eastern Women's Run (GEWR) at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park Grand Lawn 1. More than 200 women have registered for GEWR which is commencing on the 10th November 2013, and they gathered at the Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park Grand Lawn 1 as part of the launch for Asia’s largest women-only marathon. The launch of the GEWR was planned as a family-themed carnival and many families attended the carnival despite the scorching sun. To rouse the carnival atmosphere, there was face painting and balloon-sculpting activities and a free flow of hotdog buns, candy floss, popcorn and drinks from 100PLUS to keep families well-fuelled for the physical activities.
