Afternoon Tea at Ginger.Lily + IRVINS x gudetama Collaboration Event

Image
Baby surprised me by making an afternoon tea reservation for us at Ginger.Lily,  which is located at the  Hilton Singapore Orchard Bay. The dining place is located on the fifth level, in the heart of the hotel lobby. To start our afternoon tea indulgence, we were served a glass of welcome drink - a refreshing Tea-Infused Kombucha   No high tea experience is ever complete without scones! I love the freshly baked scones - Vanilla Madagascar and Golden Raisin House Scones with clotted cream, cinnamon chocolate ganache, and the signature Ginger.Lily jam . I couldn’t get enough of them! The food items were placed in a drawer, and my favourite was the Lobster Roll , which packed heaps of lobster meat even though it was a mini version. The desserts are exquisite and  were generally not too sweet for me. Their warm savories were pleasant too, as most of their afternoon tea offerings were leaning towards being sweet. I was glad that they still had a significant amou...

Dine at Hans Im Glück and Tampopo + Tasting at Nunsaram

Image
I re-visited Hans Im Glück at VivoCity on a random weekend for lunch again. We each ordered a lunch set special, and it is a tremendous bonus that the special is applicable on weekends as well!          Both Baby and I had a beef burger with sourdough bread. We also had sides of sweet potato fries and salad with Asian dressing as well. We loved the sweet potatoes fries very much!     We also had thirst quenchers to go with our mains, and at the end of the meal we were each served a cup of hot tea to round up our meal experience. Nothing beats having a nice German meal with loved ones on a relaxing weekend afternoon.    The damage was about SGD52, and this is a treat for my Dearest Hubby! I love you, Baby!    Baby and I spent our Fri-date at Tampopo which is located at Takashimaya Shopping Centre . This eatery place is well-known for their Kuro Buta, and we ordered Kuro Buta Ram...

[personal] New Year's dinner at Kong Inn Seafood Restaurant + Sumire Yakitori House

Image
It has been a long time since my last visit Sumire Yakitori House, as they ceased operation at the joint I used to go at Icon Village, Tanjong Pager. I visited the other outlet which is located at Bugis Junction, and as usual, we started off with a bowl of complimentary dressed-seasoned cabbage! It was a great appetiser to start my meal. I love the Tomato Bacon very much, and Baby ordered Tsukune Tare as it tasted really good. Both of us ordered a dinner set for our main courses. Baby had the Unagi and Egg Set while I had Noodles Ramen with Yakitori Set. We had a delightful dinner and the damage was SGD60+. Baby and I drove in JB to meet Uncle Mike and Shelley for a New Year's Meal. We went to Kong Inn Seafood Restaurant for our dinner together with our Malaysian friends. To welcome the New Year, it is important to catch up with family and friends for a sumptuous dinner/feast. Perhaps I'm more accustomed to the Chinese New ...
