A re-visit to Changi Jurassic Mile + SUPPER FRI-DATE at Tachinomiya + BBQ party at SUO

Meryl and I fixed a date to complete our virtual run on a random Sunday morning.  We met up at the Sports Hub and successfully completed our workout to obtain an e-badge from the 42Race App! After our morning workout, we went to the Old Airport Road Food Centre , to have the delicious Lor Mee from Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee  新美香 卤 面 .  To our surprise, the queue was short, as I was the second in line. I love the gravy as this is the key element in a good Lor Mee. It is thick and flavorful, and I really love this bowl of Lor Mee to the max! Baby and I spent our Sun-date at  Tampopo  which is located at  Takashimaya Shopping Centre. This eatery place is well-known for their  Kuro Buta . The main agenda of making this visit was that Baby needed to renew his membership, and we were given a welcome voucher to redeem within 60days. One of the benefits of being a Tampopo Member is that a SGD20 voucher will be given on the member's birthday month!   YAY! I feel that i will probably be back t

Food tasting at 8 Degree Taiwanese Bistro + Somersby Pop-up at Plaza Singapura

The 8 Degree Taiwanese Bistro , which is also known as the  'Jay Chou Bistro' , used to be tucked away in a small corner along various shop houses at Serangoon Road. It has now been re-located to the Kovan area. I love this new location as it is just a short walk from Kovan MRT Station. The eatery place bears  a very strong Taiwanese ambience and Jay Chou's songs and music are played throughout the opening hours. Milk tea is a must-order drink whenever I visit a Taiwanese cuisine restaurant/café. I enjoyed their Mee Sua which was topped with a few plump pieces of oysters as well as Chitterlings. We loved  8 Degrees’ Scallion Pancake , as it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It came with a fragrant dipping sauce, which enhanced the taste of the pancake very well! We were lucky to get a table upon reaching the premises, and all our food items were served within 15 minutes of ordering! Overall, the 8 Degrees service was pretty decent. I will definitely recomm

[Japan Winter Vacation 2023] 4D3N in Osaka

Image
Osaka was our last stop of this winter holiday to Japan. Upon reaching Namba Station from Kyoto , we headed straight to Swissotel Nankai Osaka which offers the best luxury Japanese hospitality in an unsurpassed location. It is situated right above the Nankai Railway’s Namba Station - It's one of the busiest subway stations that connects to everywhere in Osaka as well as to the rest of Japan. In short, this hotel is incredibly convenient, and convenient is a key thing when travelling with big luggage, because you don't have to worry about taking the local train or walking through narrow walkways to your hotel while rolling your luggage! We were given a room which is located  on the 30th floor that had a good view of downtown Osaka. We have no doubts that, if we were to return to Osaka, we would be staying at the Swissotel Nankai Osaka again! Upon checking in, we discovered that the hotel had prepared for us some chocolate snacks as an anniversary celebration! Baby had notifie
