[random - Part 02] G-FACTORY + All about food

Image
Both Baby and I decided to get each other a Casio watch as our wedding Anniversary gifts, and therefore, we got each other a limited edition 'Shichifukujin' Japanese Gods of Fortune series! We are avid fans of G-shock watches, so these new watches are a joy! Thanks for putting me as your priority and taking care of my well-being baby!! Muaks!! Most of us believe that 捞鱼生 during the CNY period can bring good luck. The higher one tosses the Yu Sheng, the better luck they have for the whole year. My lunch mates and I concluded our 元宵 节 , which is the last day of the CNY as Chinese interpretation. with another round of a Yu Sheng session... We decided to settle ourselves at Soup Restaurant , Suntec City for our mini celebration.  As usual, we ordered the 发财鱼生 for our joyous Yu Sheng celebration and I hope that I will 发发发 all the way till 2019...  I had a fulfilling lunch with my lunch mates and the damage was about SGD191!  ...

G-FEST at *SCAPE Playspace + random-ness

I recently met up with Jasmine for an hour's lunch date at Menya Sanji Singapore restaurant which is located at Hong Leong Building . We had a delightful lunch and I always enjoy her companionship!     On to another throwback meal, and this one is a sad one. We had dinner with Leah, who is leaving my company after 10 years of being with us. The farewell dinner with her was at Olivia & Co, which is located at the North Atrium of Suntec City. We chatted and shared many fond memories during the farewell dinner session.    After a long hiatus, Baby and I decided to re-visit the 'Flaming Don', which is located at Bugis+. We are both fans of this place, as we can get to eat affordable Japanese rice bowls which are pretty authentic. For this meal, I had Miso Buta Yaki Don , and I found the presentation rather appealing. There were grilled 'lines' imprinted on the pork slices, and I do love charred pork slices very much! ...

2D1N KL Weekend Staycation + SG Food Gem

A short weekend getaway to KL, Malaysia is something I always look forward to, as it is a chance to recharge myself after a week of stressful work. We left home around 5.30am and drove up to KL, whereby we arrived around 10am-ish! Our usual routine upon arriving was to plonk our car at the workshop for servicing, while heading for shopping, makan-ing and lepak-ing!     Daddy Mike brought us for breakfast, and we drove up to Shah Alam for some Penang street food fare. We settled at Restoran Gurney Delight.     The Penang Prawn Mee tasted pretty decent, and it was served in an aromatic Prawn stock soup, which was topped with prawn slices, fish cakes, hard boiled egg slices and vegetables. The accompanying home-made chilli paste was a bonus!    Restoran Gurney Delight is the right place for you if you wish to taste some traditional styles of Penang street food, as most of the ingredients are originally from Penang.  ...

[SG Eats] Everton Creamery + Flaming Don + Tambuah Mas + So Pho

Lately, the weather in Singapore is getting insanely hot, even at night! It is way too much for some Singaporeans (including me) to stand the heat anymore.  Baby brought me to Everton Creamery for an icy sweet fix. I ordered a waffle with a single scoop of ice-cream. Nothing beats having a nice dessert on an after work weekday evening! It is a good way to beat the scorching weather too! After our first visit to ' Flaming Don' which is located at  Bugis+, me and Baby fell in love with the affordable  Japanese Rice Bowls which the premises offers. We re-visited the eatery place a week later to have our meal on a random weekday after work!   The CSR team had a random luncheon at  Ichiban Boshi  with Boss B. Thanks for the treat! We had a delightful 1-hour lunch with one another!   This year, my company celebrated its  22nd Anniversary  and the committee members came out with friendly bowling...
