Immersive Experience by Hermès - The Silky Way + Ankle Boots Review

Image
Both my Baby and I visited The Silky Way, a captivating pop-up by Hermès at   the Marina Bay Sands’ Event Plaza .  Upon entering, we felt that it was like a dreamlike tour into the world of the iconic Hermès carrés . The immersive experience makes its debut in Singapore before travelling to other yet-to-be-announced cities. We were led to a soaring dome-shaped room, and the journey began with a 20-minute short film based on a selection of silk designs that craft a poetic narrative.  After leaving the Hermès exhibition, we settled our dinner at Canton Paradise which is located at Marina Bay Sands (MBS).   Our damage was pretty affordable all thanks to the SGD30 voucher we had to offset the total bill. I’ve always considered boots to be the quintessential travel shoes. They’re versatile and they also do a good job in protecting my feet. It doesn’t matter if I’m heading to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Europe or USA, boots always have a spot on my packing list.  Of...

[random] Dinner at Putien + Mama Diam + CRYBABY’s new series: ‘CRYING FOR LOVE’

Image
It has been a long hiatus since my last visit to PUTIEN Restaurant. I went to the outlet located at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) with baby for dinner.  We ordered our usual favourite items - Pu Tien Mee Sua and Sweet and Sour Pork with Lychee.  The Sweet and Sour Pork with Lychee,  tasted fabulous! I had several helpings, and each piece of pork gave me a nice, homely feel. It was a pleasant meal on the whole, and the damage was about SGD80+. Both N and I decided to have dinner at Mama Diam - It's a Speakeasy Bar with a secret entrance behind the retro Mama Shop! It is located at Prinsep Street.   Mama Shop is an important element of Singapore’s rich cultural heritage. The front of the place is made up to resemble a small and often family-run provision store commonly found under HDB blocks back in the 1980s to early 2000s. Mama Diam has nailed it by recreating this iconic setting. I’ve had many fond memories of exploring neighbourhood mama stores when growing up, so I wa...

Happy 2025 - Afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge, InterContinental Hotel + The Magical House of Chanel

Image
For 2024, we opted out of our usual tradition to end our night on New Year's Eve by drinking at a bar. Instead, we had an exquisite afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge, InterContinental Hotel on New Year’s Day to welcome the first day of 2025!  We spent quality time over our afternoon tea by sharing with each other on our plans for 2025 and of course, discussing on my upcoming birthday celebration!  As we grow older, we find that NYE is not about just having a 'Countdown', but is more akin to having a reflection on what we have achieved, and to start planning on goals for the New Year. May all my wishes come true! I wish for more travel and social media collaboration opportunities, as well as an increment in my salary!  Both my Baby and I visited The Magical House of Chanel , a captivating pop-up at Marina Bay Sands’ Event Plaza.   The Magical House of CHANEL is an enchanted winter wonderland, and I loved the snowy forest.  We explored the world of CHAN...
