Makan Journey: Hakata Ikkousha + Tsujiri
I met up with my makan buddies for our monthly makan outing. Hongwei gave the suggestion for our makan haunt again, and this time, we went to Hakata Ikkousha which is located at Tanjong Pagar Plaza . Hakata Ikkousha won the ultimate Ramen Champion in 2011 and 2012. The two time Ramen Champion, Hakata Ikkousha opened 2 outlets in Singapore in Tanjong Pagar Plaza and Chijmes. Hakata is a city in Fukuoka, Japan, where it is known for their springy and thin ramen noodles. The chef has done a good job in bringing authentic taste and cooking methods, and the eatery place was also well decorated with a sense of Japanese feeling. Hongwei and Jax ordered the Clas sic Tonkotsu Ramen , and the broth is simmered for over 12 hours and bears a creamy texture.
