Hotel Puri Melaka is a boutique hotel in the heart of the old street of Malacca . The hotel is a restored Peranakan House which once belonged to the descendants of a rubber plantation owner. I love my staycation at Hotel Puri Melaka very much. Eleven Bistro & Restaurant is located slightly away from Jonker Main Street, and they served Portuguese cuisine. We ordered quite a numbers of food entrees, but I like Cincaluk Egg, Gula Melaka Fried Chicken Wings and Portuguese Baked Fish very much. My NYE's dinner at Calanthe Art Cafe was a delightful one, as the ambience was perfect for peaceful dining as well for reminiscing back on all the memories and thing we did, as well as what had happened for the whole year of 2013.     Calanthe Art Cafe is located at Jonker Walk and they serve the best coffee of the 13 States of Malaysia... My 2D1N short retreat to Melaka was fruitful, as Melaka ( Malay name for Malacca) is a port city with full of unique history. We went on a road trip to Melaka , and we drove down from Singapore via Tuas Checkpoint (second link ). We stopped by Yong Peng for brekkie, and we had Yong Tau Foo at Jin Du Restaurant . I love the chewy Hock Chew fish balls with meat fillings... My brekkie went well with the home-made chili paste... We continued our journey after our meal, and we finally reached the rich historical and cultural city centre that was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in July 2008.
