RKM's random eats - Tambuah Mas + TAI ER 太二酸菜鱼 + Sushiro

Image
My Fri-date dinner was at  Tambuah Mas , an Indonesian Restaurant which is presently located at  Orchard Paragon . It serves authentic Indonesia food fare, and the food was served to us at a pretty fast pace. In general, the food was awesome but my standout dish is still the  Tahu Telor . Overall the food was tasty, and the damage was pretty decent too! Recently, Baby and I had our dinner at TAI ER 太二酸菜 鱼 located at PLQ !  We love playing the ‘fortune stick’ which was placed on each table to entertain guests while waiting for food.  This is part of Chinese Culture for predicting one’s luck! Do not forget to order their signature drink, as it will defeat the purpose of patronising this eatery place.  I highly recommend getting a bowl of rice to go with the ‘Suan Cai Yu’ as it can be a bit salty if it is eaten by itself. If you’re someone who hates fish bones, this dish is perfect as they use boneless sliced fish. The fish was smooth, soft ...

[All about food] Home-cooked Claypot Chicken Rice + Tambuah Mas + DaXi + Gu Zao Ren Taiwan Porridge + Tampopo + Hi Fan Tian

Yay! It is Baby's cooking time! Baby used Chicken Boneless Leg meat for a Claypot Chicken Rice (via Rice Cooker) which he made for a quick dinner. By marinating the Chicken meat with Dark Soy sauce, Corn Flour, Sesame Oil, Chinese cooking wine and with a dash of salt and pepper, you're all set for a delicious and protein filled meal! Yes, I am ready to dig in! Thanks for cooking, Baby! My mid-week dinner was at Tambuah Mas , an Indonesian restaurant which is located at Orchard Paragon . It serves authentic Indonesia food fare and the service is pretty efficient too. In general, the food was tasted pretty good but my stand out dish is still the Tauhu Telur . Overall, the dining experience was great and the damage was pretty decent too! DaXi is an Asian fusion restaurant that specializes in handmade dumplings and Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan. We decided to settle our dinner at DaXi, Vivocity after our mooncakes shopping with 'A', my friend! Their Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan  飘香卤肉饭   c...

[service review] 70-minute facial & eye treatment by THANN

Image
When I am packed with a busy schedule, one of the ways I have to de-stress is to pamper myself with a great facial/spa session.  I got very excited when I received a lovely invite from  THANN  Singapore that allowed me to experience their first boutique store in Paragon Shopping Centre and I received a 70-minute facial which included an eye treatment too! Lately, due to my hectic lifestyle, my skin wasn't in a good condition. My complexion is dull and feels dry at times. I scheduled it immediately on a weekend because my skin was in desperate need for some rejuvenation. The facial therapist started off by removing my eye makeup with the  Astringent Cleansing Water   and this was followed by a Purifying Face Wash for a deep cleansing on my face.  The cleansing and exfoliation helped to remove sebum and impurities, and of course, the dead cells on my skin as well. It also helped to provide more hydration as well as giving me smooth lines on my face! The ...

[random] Happy Weekends!

Happy weekdays! Emerald Hill is one of the more conservative areas in Singapore, and used to be home to the wealthy Peranakan Community. It is also one of the most colorful streets in Singapore and the classic shophouse location has become one of my favorite places places for a nice OOTD. Baby and I revisited the famous Hong Kong Cha Chan Teng,  Honolulu Café  which is located at Centrepoint . We had our Sunday Brunch and I personally still feel that it was overrated. To be honest, I was already dismissive of the place when we first visited the original café in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, I think the Singaporean branch is cut from the same cloth, as service was meh and the food was mediocre at best. The other Hong Kong cafes based in Singapore seem to be better in my humble opinion, but my baby seems to like this place so I humored him.   The bonus thing for me is that I really love their egg tarts. They were delicious! Friday dinner date with my Baby at  Le Shrimp, ...
