[photo blog] Fun at the Big Museum of Taste aka B.M.T

Image
I am a fan of pop-up museums and submarine sandwiches, and upon hearing that the Subway Museum was coming to Singapore, I was on cloud nine! The usual gang of us went on a journey to discover the success of this original submarine sandwich icon. The ' Subway Big Museum of Taste'  offers interesting installations with Insta-worthy photo opportunities! Although the quirky pop-up museum wasn't large, it was divided into quite a few vibrantly decorated rooms, two of which are dedicated to interactive games. The mission is to  play the games to collect as many sandwich ingredients  as you can, in order to assemble your own perfect Subway sandwich. Subway had a goal of setting a national record and we joined in the fun to play the  Largest Sandwich-Making Game at the Subway Museum . Look at my sandwich creation! Before we ended our journey, we redeemed a free cookie and Coca-Cola while browsing through limited edition merchandise at the gift store. To get tickets to...

[F&N Ice Cream Brand Challenge 2017] Sustaining a National Heritage Icon

These mobile ice-cream vendors are known as 'Ice-Cream Uncles'. Singapore has developed so rapidly that many traditional street foods have vanished due to the fast paced nature of Singapore life. Others that are still around are now facing the challenge to rejuvenate and revamp themselves in order to stay relevant. The  F&N Ice Cream Brand Challenge 2...

Jing Hua was established in 1989 by native Singaporeans Mr and Mrs Han, and the flagship outlet was located at a shop house along Neil Road. The second outlet was at Rocher Road (Bugis Village) and the most recent outlet is located at Palais Renaissance which was opened last year.   Currently, Jing Hua has 3 outlets in Singapore, as well as international outlets in Japan and Italy.   To date, the reins of the shop has been passed down to their eldest son, and the humble heritage and roots were preserved at the third outlet at Palais Renaissance . The interior distils the qualities of a 25 years old pioneering family restaurant known for its traditional style Xiao Chi into an authentic and contemporary Singaporean dining & bar experience which features a wide selection of Chinese liquors, whiskey as well as Japanese Shochu.   Jing Hua's menu has remained unchanged at Neil Road since the beginning. Jing Hua has built a strong reputation ...
