[food review] Hey! Pepper + Yu Cun Claypot Curry Fish Head

Image
Hey! Pepper is located at the all-halal foodcourt - Cantine at Paya Lebar Square . It offers over 10 types of hot plate dishes, and aside from Pepper Rice, they also have Premium Steaks, Curry Cheese as well as Value Meals! It is a new place to satisfy your craving for pepper rice! To get the best of all worlds, I opted for the Combo 3-in-1 , which came with 3 types of protein - Chicken, Salmon and Beef , together with mashed potatoes, vegetables and a separate bowl of rice. We also tried the Hey! Pepper Angus Sirloin Steak , and which comes with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and separate bowl of rice. The meats cut which were on the sizzling plate tasted awesomely good.  The high heat of the hotplate caused the food to char very quickly, so be sure to mix up the dish the moment you receive it, to get the best flavors! I loved how flavorful the meat was when I added in the Garlic Soy Sauce from the counter. At Hey! Pepper , we got to indulge in the wide variety of offerings which...

[food review] Kyojo Dining + Taste Good

Image
Singapore’s Orchard Road has a wide array of Japanese restaurants. However, for those seeking a high-quality Japanese meal without breaking the bank, Kyojo Dining at Claymore Connect might just be the perfect choice! Kyojo Dining’s entrance is marked by traditional Japanese curtains noren and some sake barrels. The interior setting blends with contemporary Japanese aesthetics for a semi-casual atmosphere. Both Baby and I made a trip down to Kyojo Dining to try out their Summer Donburi . We tried the Summer Lunch Special - Unagi Chirashi Donburi and Negi Toro Chirashi Donburi . We upgraded our donburi to a set which included miso soup and chawanmushi. We were impressed by the freshness of the Sashimi, and we loved the smooth and jiggly soft steamed egg. We had a pleasurable experience at Kyojo Dining in Claymore Connect . Our lunch was very good, as it was made with fresh ingredients and was skillfully prepared. The attentive staff elevated our experience. Kudos to Kyojo Dining whi...

[makan in Singapore] Ceylonese Crabs + Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore + Hey Kee Restaurant

Image
On a nice Saturday afternoon, I met up my girlfriends for lunch, as recently, I was introduced to Ceylonese Crabs - a Sri Lankan restaurant offering an array of authentic Ceylonese dishes. It is located at the Seafood Centre of East Coast Park Singapore , and it aims to cater the Sri Lankan palate in a foreign land. We started off our meal with their Welcome Juice , and it went well with our Ceylonese Bite order - Batter Fried Onion Rings . I loved their Sri Lankan Egg Fried Rice , and I loved that they used Basmati Rice and some Sri Lankan spices in the dish. We also ordered the famous Sri Lankan Street Food - Roast Chicken Cheese Koththu, and it tasted pretty delicious. We ordered the Grilled Herby Jumbo Sri Lankan Prawns served with Saffron Rice and Cavier Butter Dip . The prawns were very meaty, juicy and nicely grilled to perfection. The shells did not stick to the meat and was easily removed. It was served with a side of vegetables and a small portion of Saffron rice. Don’t fo...
