A couple of days ago, I was invited by Clover Films to attend the preview screening of ' The Bodyguard' which is premiering on the 7th April 2016. The Bodyguard is a Hong Kong-Chinese action drama film which is directed by Sammo Hung . Andy Lau serves as one of the film's producers while also making a special appearance. The movie plot is about a retired bodyguard who suffers from early dementia. He is a lonely old man who befriends a young girl. When the young girl’s life is in danger due to her father's (played by Andy Lau) connection with a local mobster, the former Bodyguard uses all his long-forgotten skills to save her.     I was pretty disappointed by this movie as being a martial arts fan, I have waited close to 2 decades for a movie directed by Sammo Hung, but I was left sorely disappointed. A few days ago, I was invited by Clover Films to the Preview Screening of 'The Tunnel', which will be premiering on the 11th June 2015.     The movie is about a young lady, Eun Joo (starring Jung Yu-Mi) who meets up with a group of friends to attend the launch party at a luxury resort. A stranger barges in and scares everybody by warning them, that  they will be cursed and will die. They ignored his advice and kill him by accident. They decided to dump the body deep within the mine tunnel where no one could ever find.     'The Tunnel' has a weak plot and tries to keep the audience on their toes by maintaining form of suspense, but I felt the show in general and the ending in particular was badly done.      The story line was pretty odd, as there were many contradictions which don't really make sense at all. AXN together with Shaw Organization and Power 98 FM organized a special Sherlock Screening  Marathon  at the Shaw Theatres Lido.   The 13-hour event included the six episodes of the first two seasons of Sherlock and culminated in the latest season 3's premiere instalment on the big screen in one seating and completing the entire viewing experience was a free lunch, tea break, dinner which were provided. Popcorn ad drinks were free flow throughout the event. There was an added bonus to stand a chance to win attractive prizes worth up to SGD3500.
