Dim Sum Brunch at Kai Duck by Kai Garden + Merry Cheesemas at Burger King + Xing Hua Restaurant
Happy Weekends! It may be pretty difficult to find an affordable yet delicious Cantonese-style Peking duck in Singapore. On a random weekend, I went to Kai Duck, by Kai Garden , which is located at Ngee Ann City for lunch. It serves awesome Cantonese-style Peking duck and dim sum at affordable prices. The Sliced Peking Duck with Crackers tasted pretty unique as it was a stack of layers of crackers, vegetables and sliced Peking duck skin in homemade sauce. I love the thin and crispy duck skin, as well as the special sauce which was prepared from scratch! We had Deep-fried Yam and Pumpkin, and I love the natural sweetness from the pumpkin! The Pan-fried Carrot Cake was shaped like a pizza. It is a modern take on the classic dim sum dish. It is filled with lots of turnip, and pan fried to a maximum crisp on the outside, yet remained soft on the inside. We had a nice lunch and the damage was pleasant too. Thanks Baby for the meal!
