VROOM: Movie date with Fast & Furious 6

Baby is a hard core fan of Fast & Furious series and he has never missed out any installments since the first movie way back in 2001, and as for me I missed out a couple of series along the way.
 
I went in to the cinema hall with low expectations due to the trailer, but I was surprised after watching the movie and I was pretty much satisfied by the outcome. There were many tense action scenes and the fights and the car chases were amazing.

The story starts off with Dominic Toretto (starring Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (played by Paul Walker) and the gang who are being recruited by Luke Hobbs (starring Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock) to bring down an international criminal named Owen Shaw (played by Luke Evans) who was aided by thought to be 'dead' Letty Oritz (starring Michelle Rodriguez). 
 

Justin Lin is a skilled action director and the action sequences he directed are impressive and engaging, and this film, 'Fast & Furious 6' left many viewers including me grasping, jaw-dropping and even applauding at times. It is pretty entertaining and I believe that Fast & Furious 7 will be an amazing finale for the series, but unfortunately Justin Lin is not part of the last installment.
 
Justin Lin has made the film into an action-oriented movie instead of the street racing that was filmed in the past.

The only poor bit was the corniest moment where Letty is catapulted over an edge of a huge broken bridge and was flying in the air to her certain death, but Dominic threw himself from the other side of the bridge despite of the gap in the middle to catch her in mid air and they both landed perfectly onto a car. To me, it is far too much to accept the fact of saving a person as it is so ridiculous.


The most unrealistic stunt action in the movie is to use cars to pull down a Russian cargo plane from taking off. To us, this is nearly impossible task that one can never do. Another doubt of mine for this movie is the return of Letty from death and the movie given an unoriginal explanation for her return to the viewers.

 
London is the main drop-back for this movie, seeing black taxis, double-decker buses dotted around the city brought back my fond memories in London. Overall, 'Fast & Furious 6' was a high-octane action movie injected with some humor scenes and the success of this movie is mainly on the chemistry among the cast members.
