Usher in the Year of the Snake @ PARKROYAL on Beach Road
Hope the Year of the Snake can bring hope, joy and prosperity to all the people out there. Plaza Brasserie is located at PARKROYAL on Beach Road is pleased to present the Prosperity Buffet Feast from 28 January to 24 February 2013 and the Prosperity Buffet Feast Reunion Dinner on 9 February 2013 to welcome this year of the Snake. Plaza Brasserie satisfies all cravings this Lunar New Year.
To usher in the Year of the Snake, the hotel will be tossing to Chef Jackson’s new creation of the Fruity Yu Sheng, consisting of fresh tropical fruits like Mandarin Oranges, Peaches, Rose Apples, Rock Melon, Dried Persimmons, Green Mango and Papaya. The new creation symbolises an abundance of wealth and a well-rounded life enhanced with Chef’s Special Fruit Flavoured Sauce. Traditional Yu Sheng will also be available too.
A handful of bloggers were invited to experience the prosperity buffet feast that was offered by Plaza Brasserie. We did the tossing of the Yu Sheng, as it is a auspicious way to stay lucky throughout the year and our wishes might just come true.
We indulged ourselves with the Mini Pen Cai featuring special
ingredients such as. Relish in the Fish
Maw, Prawns, Sea Cucumber, Sliced Abalone, Roast Duck, Chicken, Pork Cabbage
and Black Moss.
Not to be missed was the freshly steamed Red Garoupa Fish in Superior Stock that will make everybody goes ‘wow’
Apart from the Yu Sheng and the Pen Cai, savor the hotel's signature selections: Eight Treasure Boneless Duck, braised Long Cabbage with Dried Scallops, Chili Crab, Poached 'Live' Prawns with Chinese Wine, Beef with Spicy Sauce, Braised Pork Knuckle with Dried Oyster and Black Moss, Crispy Roasted BBQ Pork, Roast Duck and Soy Chicken, Oatmeal Prawns or Butter Prawns, Eight Treasure Sticky Rice, Fish Maw Soup with Shredded Abalone or Fish Maw Soup with Crab Meat and Sea Cucumber, Fried Hong Kong Noodles, Golden Fried Rice with Crabmeat and Spring Onions, Stir Fried Asparagus with Crabmeat in 'XO' Sauce, Diced Chicken with Leek, Mushroom and Sweet Peas, Braised Sea Cucumber with Roasted Pork and Stir Fried King Prawns with Spicy Prawns.
My dinner will
never be complete without a plate of Salmon Belly Sashimi as it satisfies my
craving. If you are more into Japanese Sushi or Sashimi,
there is a decent spread for your indulgence.
I rounded up my meal with the Durian Nian Gao with Bak Kua. They tasted delicious.
The Chinese New Year goodies and dessert selections are definitely making this New Year a sweet and prosperity one to remember...
