Night out at i Light Marina Bay 2014
i Light Marina Bay is Asia’s only sustainable light art festival that showcases innovative content, the intelligent use of lighting as well as an international line-up of creative talents. Themed Light+heART, the festival this year features 28 innovative and environmentally sustainable light art installations from around the world. The Marina Bay Waterfront has transformed into a magical space of light and colour for the public to celebrate both public spaces and creativity.
To promote an environmentally-responsible behaviour for a sustainable future, the participating artists have incorporated the use of recyclable materials and adopted energy-efficient lighting technologies in the creation of their stunning light art installations. Every aspect of the festival adopts an effective and efficient management of resources to meet this commitment to the environment.
Michelle and I made a trip down to Marina Bay for i Light Marina Bay 2014,
and we were there before dusk. I was glad to be able to take a photo of the
nice scenery at The Float at Marina Bay.

CLOUD

Old used light bulbs were used for the Canadian
design, Cloud. I love this innovative design very much.
GIANT DANDELIONS - PHILIPPINES / FRANCE
Used mineral water bottles were used for the design, Giant Dandelions, and it really save the earth and at the same time send us a message to tell us that great design does not require expensive and complicated materials.
Creations like CLOUD and GIANT DANDELIONS, and the artist wanted to portray that one can do their part to save teh earth, without the usage of expensive and complicated material in a design. The designs suit the promotion theme of environmentally and responsible behaviour, by using recyclable materials to develop awesome light art installations.

JOUJOU-OURS
- TAIWAN
All the children love the JOUJOU-OURS, as it was pretty
hard to get a nice spot of the exhibit when taking photos against each cute
design. Luckily Michelle was agile when snapping pictures for me.
‘LOOK.AIM.SHOOT’ was our motto during the i Light Marina Bay 2014.
We were both amazed by the lighting exhibitions all over the world, and we
enjoyed ourselves walking along the whole Marina Bay to view the exhibition.
We stopped by at The Original Sailor Jerry Spiced Pop-Up Tattoo Shop as part of the celebration for Mosaic Music Festival 2014 at The
Esplanade.
There was a photo machine located at the pop-up shop for instant print when
you instagram your photo by adding the unique hashtag: '#sailorjerrysg'
Appreciate Michelle for joining me to i Light Marina Bay 2014, and I love being with her. I look forward to hang out
with her in the near future. Thanks gal (:
