[launch party] Dance Singapore Dance on ZEE TV

Dance Singapore Dance is a localised version of the popular Dance India Dance series which made its debut in 2009. Winners from past editions of the competition have catapulted to fame with many of them gaining film experience and sponsorships after the show.
Dance Singapore Dance premiered on ZEE TV, on Saturday, 18th July 2015. After three gruelling months of training, the 12 finalists are competing among one another for the grand prize of SGD10,000 and to be crowned Dance Singapore Dance’s first winner.

 
An overwhelming 200 local dancers from all walks of life took part in the auditions held earlier this year. The final 12 who made it through the audition are aged between 16 to 35 years old, and represent different dance styles which range from contemporary styles, to Bollywood, jazz, hip-hop and ballroom dancing!
 
 
The first two episodes of the season featured over 60 dancers from the auditions, while the remaining ten episodes will have themed challenges in an elimination round format leading up to the grand finale. With the show’s exciting format, audiences can expect dramatic twists and turns, especially during the elimination episodes.
  
 
ZEE TV is delighted to present the rising dance stars as well as to give them the opportunity to shine and showcase their talents on screen. Dance Singapore Dance will inspire these rising stars to pursue their passions, to dream big, and to aim and try to achieve even greater things after this competition.
 
 
Joanne and I attended the launch of Dance Singapore Dance which was held at The Colonial @ Scotts.
 
 
 
We were in for a treat at the event as we got to sneak peek the performance by the finalists.

 
I was glad to be part of the launch of the inaugural Dance Singapore Dance, a reality dance competition and a spin-off of India’s largest dance-based show.
