[random] Mother's Day Celebration - Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck+ Her World x G2000 Shopping Event

As Mum V loves Peking Duck, Baby and I decided to bring her to Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, which is located at Paragon Shopping Centre for this year's Mother's Day Celebration!

 

The chef carved out a few special pieces of duck skin to go along with unpolished sugar. This is the most traditional, and the best way in my opinion, to enjoy this dish.

The star of our meal was undoubtedly, the whole Peking Duck, which was delicately roasted to perfection! It was done in a traditional Beijing rather than Hong Kong's manner, whereby the skin is sliced with a generous amount of meat with it, and is then scented by the lychee wood used in the oven. The hand-made flour crepe, which is thin and yet elastic, made the whole Peking Duck a 'Super' success!

 

The Peking Duck was deliciously succulent, but the portions was slightly too much to share among the three of us. Although my baby insisted he could finish the whole thing, it was obvious he was failing by the end of the meal... Nevertheless, I personally feel that the generous amount of duck meat tasted better on its own, then having it as a duck crepe. Due to the roasting process over lychee fragranced hardwood fuel, I enjoyed it immensely! We took the left over duck meat back with us in a 'doggy bag'! 

 

 

Apart from the spectacular Peking Duck, we also had an array of dim sum items. Har Gaw wrapped in translucent skin, and it tasted pretty good. I love the freshness of the prawns! 

 

 

The dough was soft for the Char Siew Bao, but the filling was a tad overly sweet for my taste buds. However, they were yummy buns!

 

Our dining experience could have been better though, if it was a quieter. Due to the design of the place, there was quite a babble of noise, as the patrons in the adjacent room next to us were REALLY talking way too loudly. Perhaps if they closed the door, our dining experience would have been much better. The damage was pretty hefty, as we paid about SGD180!

 

I attended the Her World x G2000 Shopping Event which was held at VivoCity. During the event, G2000 showcased their latest Summer 2018 Collection. 

 

After the event, all invitees got a gift pack from Shiseido and a pouch from KENZO. I love it very much, as it is the right size to keep all my skincare essentials when travelling.
