as well as the baked goodies.
We started off the tasting session with the ‘lo Hei’, as it is essential during the Chinese New Year (CNY) period, as we, Chinese believe that the higher one tosses the Yu Sheng, the better luck we will have for the entire new year.
This therefore explains why everybody loves to have/eat something with such good vibes in order to welcome in the Chinese New Year! It really makes the whole dining experience feel more meaningful and auspicious.
We started our set meal with the soup – Fish Maw and White Fungus Chicken Broth. It was a light and refreshing, I love this gentle soup as it improved my appetite for the main meal!
I had Barramundi Fillet with Ginger Plum Sauce and Golden Money Bag Dumpling. This main course lives up to the theme ‘East meets West’ as the fish fillet was plated together with roasted potatoes, Money Bag dumplings, carrots, mushrooms and ‘bok choy’.
The set meal ended with a slice of Osmanthus Sponge Cake. It was topped with an edible chocolate with image of firecracker decorated on it!
Don’t forget to try out their traditional Lo Hei with a twist to bring luck to this coming Rabbit Year!
