[Food tasting] Morganfield's

I was recently at the newly opened Morganfield’s for a food tasting session. Morganfield’s is located at The Star Vista which is within walking distance from Buona Vista MRT Station.

 

 

There is an alfresco and air-conditioning seating area to choose from at Morganfield’s, and they serve excellent slow cooked pork ribs, pork sausages, salads and desserts.

 

 

Morganfield's is an updated American diner fashioned after the new breed of BBQ restaurants in New York, lending a touch of sophistication to the hearty, rustic barbecue tradition that is always coupled with warm hospitality.

 

I was welcomed by the warm cozy ambiance and dimly lit setting.

 

I enjoyed my Christmas drinks - Candy Cane and Cranberry Blush during my dinner at Morganfield’s.

 

 

We started our meal on the Christmas Caesar Salad with Prosciutto and crunchy romaine lettuce, tossed with a home-made egg yolk dressing. It tasted flavorful.

Next up was the appetizers...

 

Chilli Cheese Fries

Fries over-baked with cheese, topped with Pork Bacon bits and served with Chilli Concarne.

 

Crab & Spinach Dip

Crabmeat and Baby Spinach cooked with Parmesan cheese and served with corn tortilla chips.

 

This dish made my day… I simply was enjoying eating Bacon Wrapped Meatballs while chit-chatting with the fellow bloggers during the session.

 

The deep fried pork meatballs wrapped with bacon looked promising and they went perfectly well with Dijon mustard sauce.

 

I simply love the Sausage Platter. There are 4 different sausages including a Spicy Hungarian, Cheese Sausage, German Bratwurst and Smoked Sausage. The accompanying pair of rich and creamy sauce really well with the sausages.  

 

I personally enjoyed the German Bratwurst and Smoked Sausage.

 

Finally, Morganfield’s best seller, their trademarked and signature Sticky Bones were served on the table. They tasted fabulous and I love the Hickory BBQ version loads.

 

Apart from Hickory BBQ, there are two other more flavors available which is Tuscan Baked Spicy and Smoked Peppercorn .

To round up our meal, we had mouth-watering desserts, and I am impressed by the Bread Pudding as it contains whiskey sauce in its recipe and this makes a huge difference to the simple dessert. It served with vanilla ice cream.
