Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

Mid-Autumn Festival has always been a favorite event for me, as I love eating moon-cakes (especially snow-skin types) and playing with traditional lanterns with candles… I think those LED lights or battery operated lanterns totally kill the original significance of this cultural festival.

I picked up a pack of 4 paper lanterns that featured Disney Characters from Tesco Extra at Tebrau City. The pack of 4 cost me RM12.95 (SGD5-ish).

~ Cars ~

~ Winnie the Pooh and Friends ~

~ Mickey Mouse and Friends ~

~ Disney Princess ~

Baby and I travelled to Admiralty Waterfront Park to do our mini Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, and upon reaching we went to a place (corner) to light up our lanterns as the park was pretty windy that day, it gave us a hard time to light up the candles…

We lit up the Disney Princess and Cars lanterns…

We had a nice time strolling in the park with our lit lanterns, and we took some photos along the way…

We ate black sesame with single egg yolk moon-cake together as a form to conclude the celebration of this festival.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival aka Lantern Festival or Moon-cake Festival.
