Festive celebrations at SYNC Korean Tapas Bar

Since the opening in October 2014, SYNC Korean Tapas Bar has been making headlines with its unique offerings that combine well-loved Korean dishes with Spanish-style tapas, delivering a whole new world of culinary experience to diners.

I was at SYNC Korean Tapas Bar which is located at Serangoon Gardens for a lovely food tasting of the Korean inspired holiday menu as they launched a selection of delicious tapas and mains from SGD9.90 onwards.

From 12 December 2014 to 2 January 2015, SYNC Korean Tapas Bar brings their signatures touch of traditional festive cuisine, with delectable Korean-inspired ingredients that put a fun twist to the festive celebrations.
Below are the six MUST TRY mouth-watering tapas and mains you should not missed out on, and we started off with Christmas Citrus Salad (SGD9.90), a colorful salad made of pomegranate, orange and mesclun, topped with citrus dressing. It is a perfect dish to whet up our appetites!

Clay Duck Ssam (SGD10.90) blends traditional Korean food with a Christmas flavour, and the duck meat was beautifully served together with Korean Daikon on a perilla leaf. I enjoyed it very much as the meat tasted flavorful.

Sweet Potato Croquettes (SGD10.90) was the clincher for me, as they were fried beautifully with cheese and chorizo, and lastly topped with apple salsa for that Christmas festive taste.

Kalbi jim (SGD26.90) is worth mentioning as the short ribs were braised for 48hours with Korean sauce, served with mashed potatoes, pickled daikon and marinated with Kalbi jim, a Korean flavoring.

Succulent turkey roulade with Korean barley risotto, topped with sautéed mushroom and cranberries. Turkey Risotto (SGD26.90) was pretty unique dish which gives a Christmas feeling, as turkey and cranberries are the must have components for Christmas. I enjoyed eating and it tasted good though I am not a risotto fan.

We satisfied our sweet tooth with Chestnut Crunchy Bar (SGD10.90) for dessert. I love the crunchy pearl toppings and the bursting flavor of the orange gel when eating it!

The long awaited dish of Fries with Melted Cheese and Kimchi finally arrived at Serangoon Gardens branch after receiving a multitude of high reviews from the Westgate branch.

We ended our wonderful meal with some cute gingerbread man!

SYNC Korean Tapas Bar is a nice place for gathering, so make your way down to celebrate your festive holidays with them!
