4D3N Getaway to KL

A super long weekend getaway to KL is always a welcome relief for me. We drove up on a Friday morning at 3.30am to avoid the obvious massive jam, and we reached KL around 1030am. Mum V brought us to Restoran Keong Kee which is located at Kepong for a Dim Sum fix.

Do beware of the dim sum photos galore!

We had Yam Puffs, Fried Carrot Cake, Steamed Spare Ribs, Lor Mai Gai - Chicken Glutinous Rice, Braised Chicken Feet, Siew Mai, Har Gow and Stuffed Lady Fingers just to name few!

The Yam Puffs, Fried Carrot Cake and Stuffed Lady Finger tasted so good, and I had a great brunch to start out on my brand new day in Malaysia.

We checked in to the One World Hotel for a night's stay before driving down another 30-45mins to Subang Jaya to Daddy’s Place. We were so lucky to have an early check-in even though the normal check-in time was 3pm.

After dropping our bags off, we headed straight down to 1-Utama Shopping Mall to shop.

We stopped by for some light snacks and Tang Yuan with Ginger Soup at Cafe Satu. We paid RM25-ish!

Dinner time! We settled our meal at Go Noodle House at 1-Utama. This eatery place serves different types of delicious noodles. The damage was RM40+ for the both of us!

Our room stay was inclusive of breakfast, and we headed down to the cafe to enjoy the buffet spread! There was a wide selection of Western, Asian and Indian cuisines. I liked the nasi lemak the best!

We checked out around 1230pm, and we drove to Subang Jaya. I was happy to see ‘Collar’ again!

After putting all our luggage in our room, we drove to our favorite shopping destination, Sunway Pyramid. I did more shopping here as compared to 1-Utama.

I met up with Jiayi whom I befriended when I attended some events in JB previously. We settled at Thaiboy which is located at Sunway Pyramid for a Thai fix set lunch was RM10.90. This included the main course, 1 side dish and 1 drink. We chatted for a good 1hr+ish.

Daddy Mike and Shelley joined us for dinner at Pu Tien at Sunway Pyramid. We ordered a 8-course set dinner for 4-pax. The damage was RM267 after tax. There is no way we could have got so many dishes for such a price at Singapore's Pu Tien.

The next morning, Daddy Mike brought us to Pudu, KL town area for famous San Peng Prawn Noodles for brekkie. This yummy bowl of prawn noodles never fails me!

We went to Damen Shopping Mall for more grocery shopping fix and we played the claw machine again! We also had Curry Chee Cheong Fun at the food court that cost RM6.90 during tea time!

For our last dinner in KL, we went to Restoran Woo Ng Kee which is located at Kepong. This eatery place is perfect for classic comfort food, especially with family to bring out a homely feel. The damage was RM155 for the 6 of us and for the price we paid and the quality of the food served, it is definitely worth a re-visit.

One of the Baby's cousins brought us to Plaza Arkadia for some after dinner tea session.

We settled ourselves at Cafe MeMe. This is the most interesting cafe I have ever visited in Malaysia, where by you can indulge yourself in playing with the claw machine while enjoying your drink.

We left KL at around 1130am, in order to beat the long weekend holiday jam. See you soon, Collar! We reached SG at 6.30pm, and that concludes my 4D3N getaway to KL!
