[TeamBridesmaids] Skechers Friendship Walk 2019

The second edition of the Skechers Friendship Walk took place at the Marina Bay Sands, and the aim was to not only bring a fun day of bonding and team spirit, but to also have a 'Hens-Party' Walk for our bride to-be, Tracy!

Being a part of #Teambridesmaids, I picked up unique sashes from Kaison, a friendly store which is located at Aeon Tebrau City in Johor Bahru. We wore them for the entirety of our 4km walk around the bay!

Thanks for the passes to Skechers Friendship Walk 2019, and this was my first time at the Skechers Friendship Walk. I was very happy to have been part of this walk, as the bond with my friends was definitely stronger!

Prior to the flag-off, goodies which included Milk and Yogurt were given out to the participants! There were even more refreshments for redemption after the walk! While waiting for the walk to commence, we made use of our spare time to explore the race village to take photos too.

The walking route was a pretty simple route, where we passed by landmarks such as the Arts-Science Museum, the Helix Bridge, the Esplanade, the Merlion and last but not least, the Promontory! We particularly loved the decor of the Art-Science Museum.

We bumped into 'Deadpool' and 'Spiderman'!

The Walk was definitely a scenic one, with lots of photo-taking opportunities. However, due to the evening time of the run, there was quite alot of congestion at some areas, especially at the Jubilee bridge due to a large crowd of tourists taking photos against the Merlion Background.

There were some obstacle courses located a few hundred metres from the end point, and we finally crossed the finishing line and collected our finisher medals and event entitlements, which were a bottle of fruit juice and alkaline water.

How nice it was to indulge in an old school icy cold Potong ice cream after our workout!

Overall I would say that Skechers Friendship Walk 2019 was a fun event and was great for family bonding. I really enjoyed the Hens Party Walk despite the heat and high humidity level of the weather.

Thank you to Skechers Singapore for having us!

We parted after the walk, as I continued my day with my Baby for dinner. We settled at Hanuman Thai Cuisine which is located at Food Alley, Toa Payoh Central. Recently, they have been chosen and awarded with 'SINGAPORE BEST FOODS 2019'. I love their Seafood Tom Yum Soup very much!
