[Food Review] Sakon Thai + Mazii Bowl Mala Tang 小麻子麻辣烫

I was excited to receive an invite to Sakon Thai to try out some of their signature food. Thanks so much for having me! Sakon Thai is Halal certified and serves up authentic, affordable Thai cuisine!

My personal favourite was the Prawn Vermicelli, and I really loved the well-seasoned glass noodles. Most importantly, it had a distinct wok hei taste!

The Phad Thai Seafood was delicious too.

The Stuffed Chicken Wings is a dish you MUST-TRY! Although the waiting time can be quite long, It’s totally worth the wait!

We also ordered a bowl of Tom Yum Cream Soup with Seafood, and the spiciness level was just right for us. It was pretty authentic, and the seafood and other ingredients within the soup were very generous as well.

We washed down our food with an all time favorite Lemongrass drink! What a refreshing treat!

If you are looking for an authentic yet affordable Thai cuisine then Sakon Thai will be a good choice for you! Love the cosy ambience and it’s a perfect place for a friends gathering, or even just for simple couple dates.

You can find this eatery establishment at Northpoint City, Seletar Mall, E!Hub or Tiong Bahru Plaza (which I visited).

My friends and I visited the China-styled Mazii Bowl Mala Tang, and it is located at the JIN HAI WAN EATING HOUSE at CT Hub 2, just minutes away from Bendemeer MRT Station

They offer soup base selections such as Mala, Hot & Sour Mix, Tom Yam, Dry Mixed Mala, Beef Bone, Sauerkraut,  Tomato and Stir-fried Mala Bowl. Wow, they also offer fried snacks that are glazed with a delicious Mentaiko Torched Sauce!

There are a wide variety of different choices for the ingredients here, and they are all charged at $2.68 per 100 grams. The price is the same for meat or vegetables. We helped ourselves to their self-served chiller area to the wide selection of ingredients for our mala dining experience!

Many come here to eat their Mala Soup, us included.

The Mala Soup still tasted delicious even when we opted for a less spicy option. The mala spices were evenly spread in every ingredient!

We tried 3 different types of base - Mala Soup, Beef Bone Soup and Stir-fried Mala Bowl.

Among the three, we love the Stir-fried Mala Bowl, as it is one of the best I've ever had. Most importantly, the prices are pretty affordable! Do bring your friends and family along and try it out soon…
