Weekend Dinner at Tomi Sushi & L’antica Pizzeria da Michele

On a random Fri-date with my Baby, he booked a table for us at Tomi Sushi. It is a cosy Japanese restaurant serving Niigata cuisine. It is located on the second level of Katong Village Mall, and from the outside, it looks like a small restaurant in Japan. The eatery place consists of a sushi bar, counter seats and regular dining tables.

It was a simple meal but very enjoyable. The place was not big, but we did not feel that it was cramped. The quality of the food was good, and the prices were pretty reasonable. Making an advance reservation is advisable if you are thinking of dining there!

L’antica Pizzeria da Michele is located at the ground floor of Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre. This famous brand is one of Naples’ oldest pizzerias, and the Singapore branch of this restaurant also marks the brand’s first outlet in Southeast Asia.

The restaurant bookings were so popular, that Baby only manage to secure our table 2 months later.

The starter we had was the Fritto di Mare which is a basket of crisp calamari, prawns, Amalfi coast fin fish, and tender zucchini.

We had the Friarielli & Salsiccia which said to be an Italian classic.

We ended our dinner with a double scoop of pistachio gelato!

L’antica Pizzeria da Michele is a great addition for our dining scene, especially if you are looking for a casual dining spot for pizzas at Club Street. For me, I will be back for their pasta instead!
