Chocolate Indulgence Afternoon Tea at Sheraton Towers Singapore + Dinner at The Dragon Chamber

Baby received a birthday promotion from DBS Bank to enjoy a 1-for-1 Afternoon Tea at Sheraton Towers Singapore. Since both baby and I love afternoon tea, he accepted the invitation for an indulgence. We treated ourselves to a cozy afternoon affair at the Lobby Bar with their Chocolate Indulgence Afternoon Tea Set.

We were led to our seats, and upon being seated, we were given a drink menu to order from various choices of tea by the pot. Apart from the drink, we were also given a glass of Moscato as our welcome drinks.

The highlight of this Chocolate Indulgence Afternoon Tea was the Chef Special’s - Lobster Meat Pie with Ivory Chocolate Bourbon Sauce! It tasted pretty good, and I loved it!

We ended our tea session with some pieces of premium chocolate pralines. It is a common practice in European countries to pop a praline in your mouth after dinner, and the best way to enjoy these delectable chocolates is to let it slowly melt in the mouth!

The Afternoon Tea Set for 2 might look a little lacking, but we were quite full after finishing up everything. This was definitely a pleasant afternoon tea!

After Baby’s last visit to The Dragon Chamber last year, he fell in love with this eatery place. The place was introduced to me by N, my ex-colleague, and imho, it is one of the more interesting places for dining options. It is located at Circular Road, where the place faces the main road and do note that it is quite easy to miss the restaurant as there is no big signboard.

Upon entering the eatery place, it looks like a modernised and decent coffee-shop, but in reality this is actually just the waiting area. There is only 1 service staff there to welcome walk-in and reservations guests. Once our table is ready, we entered the main dining hall behind the beer fridge.

Once we entered in from the secret door, we were led to a dark alley before entering the chamber. The main restaurant is pretty spacious, and has strong vibes of 70s high society in Shanghai China.

We loved the Sweet & Sour Beef Ribs which was beautiful plated. The beef ribs were perfectly cooked. The pineapple cubes gave it a nice umami flavor.

The Wagyu Truffle Beef Hor Fun is a NOT-TO-BE-MISSED FOOD ITEM when visiting this restaurant. It is not the usual hor fun one finds at the usual Tze-Char stalls. The initial bowl of hor fun comes with some deep-fried crisps, premium wagyu beef slices and a poached egg. The finishing touch was when the service staff poured the truffle gravy and mixed all the ingredients together right in front of our eyes.

It is definitely a signature dish at The Dragon Chamber. The wagyu beef slices simply melted in our mouths, and the truffle gravy enhanced the overall taste and flavors. It is a must-order dish when you visit The Dragon Chamber.

The meal was on me as his pre-birthday celebration. The damage was SGD132 after Baby’s birthday 15% discount off.
