My weekend brunch at Hatched
Breakfast is the most important first meal of the day and Brunch is usually the highlight of the weekend for me and it never fails to get me happy or excited, so Baby drove me to Holland Village, to get our weekend brunch at a new eatery called 'Hatched'.
Hatched is an egg-specialty cafe serving all-day brunch and it adopted a modern, young and casual concept. The choices offered in the menu are mainly eggs done in many ways of cooking, such as poached, scrambled, boiled or even fried, but there is always a choice for everyone. It does bear an interesting concept for an all-day breakfast.
When we arrived there, the cafe was running full house and luckily the staff lead us to the 2nd floor, but the air conditioning on the upper level wasn't working very well, hence they switched on the fans for better ventilation.
The decor is pretty cute and interesting, and I love the cracked egg lighting which was mounted on the wall...
The cafe is kinda cozy and their menu is super cute. I like the cute illustrations!!
Hatched is a catchy and interesting name for an egg-themed cafe. It is definitely a place for egg lovers as most of the food items on the menu consist of eggs as the main ingredient. We were mainly attracted by the unique concept and the egg decor of the cafe.
I had Papillote for my brunch
Baby ordered a Philly omelette for himself...
We got an additional bowl of Baked Beans to share along with our eggy meals...
The damage was SGD38-ish. Though Hatched has a reasonable menu, but the prices are slightly on the high side. It gets crowded on weekends .
From my point of view, do try jones the grocer - Australia’s premium food store concept, for higher quality of food and Socialhaus which is located at Tiong Bahru area for more affordable breakfast / brunch.
