STGCC 2013 Media Preview

The annual Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC) is back on the 31 August – 1 September 2013 at Sands Expo and Convention Center in Marina Bay Sands.
 
 
I attended the STGCC 2013 Media Preview which was held at Meeting Room L3, Sands Expo and Convention Center, MBS.
 
 
  It was mainly a Meet ‘n’ Greet Session with some A-list featured guests, such as the crowd-puller cos-player, Vampy Bit Me, and she dressed up as one of the Marvel Comics’ character during the STGCC 2013 Media Preview. Joe Madureira who is also known as Joe MAD was at the media preview together with C.B Cebulski, and they shared Marvel’s latest updates with us…
 
 
Apart from the special guests from Marvel Comics, Hideo Baba, the man behind the Tales of Series joined popular Korean cos-player, Aza and Star Toy Designers, Angry Woebots, Luke Chueh, J RYU which all hail from the Army of Snipers (AOS) were at the preview too.

Angry Woebots uses toys (often pandas) to express a wide emotional spectrum with which he seeks to chronicle the story of the struggles of life.

 
Jesse Yu aka J RYU’s work was welcomed for its gothic nature and he was honoured as the Toy Customizer of the Year by the Designer Toy Awards 2012.
 
 
Luke Chueh has recently been nominated for 5 categories at this year’s Designer Toys Awards, a testimony to his talent.
 
 
NAMCO BANDAI Games brought in Hideo Baba who is the General Producer of the Tales of Series, one of the most acclaimed Japanese role-playing game (J-RPG) franchises which received a huge success of 600,000 units on PlayStation3 during the first week launch. This is his first trip to Singapore for STGCC 2013.
 
 
 Aza has 8 years of cos-playing experience and has been actively participating in overseas events. Her participation at STGCC 2013 marks her debut appearance in Singapore.  

  
  
 
Joe Madureira aka Joe MAD, Marvel comic book writer/artist and fame developer, and recently he is working hard to dish out more fascinating artwork from Marvel Comics. He made his first appearance in Singapore at STGCC 2013.
 
 
 
Hot Toys brings in four 2013 Toy Fairs Exclusive Limited Edition Figurines, in collaboration with Action City. OMG!! They look so real, do come down to STGCC 2013 this weekend and be awed yourself!!
