[3D2N] March’s Hong Kong Weekend Staycation - Day 03

Next morning, after we had our breakfast, we headed to the Sunday Morning Market to do some shopping, and the prices were unbeatable indeed. I got some purses/pouches and beads bracelets for only 10HKD each! Do visit their local Sunday Morning Market located along the roadside at Central Area, as it was insanely cheap. (maybe cheaper than you can get from the touristy night markets)

We also visited Lung Fung Mall, which is located at Queen’s Road Central. It is a local pharmacy that provides medical products and offers a wide range of cosmetics and beauty care, hair care products, health supplements, baby care products as well as food and snacks. We picked up some hair-care products and medical products before heading back to the hotel to do our check-out at 1230pm.

As our flight was scheduled in the late at night at 8pm, we left our luggage with the concierge and headed for our Weekend Salon Brunch at Duddell’s which is also located at Central. We walked about 8-10mins to get there!

Duddell’s is situated in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central district, their restaurant on level 3 has a 1 Michelin star award! The Weekend Salon Brunch was served at the salon on level 4 - at a casual upstairs section, which has a more casual but arty vibe. There’s also a patio area for those who prefer the outdoors!

We wanted to experience Sunday brunch in Hong Kong before heading back to Singapore. We decided to dine at Duddell’s for their fresh and unlimited Cantonese Dim Sum cuisine with free flow Saicho Hojicha Sparkling Tea. What a fabulous gastronomy delight!

We started with some dim sum, the portions came with two pieces, so we could each try the other’s choices.

The shrimp dumpling and pork dumpling hit the right spot. The spring rolls were fresh out of the wok and very crispy.

The Peking Duck is their signature dish and it was exquisite.

I was a bit disappointed by the limited selection of food and the seats weren’t really comfortable for eating a meal. On the positive side, we’d highly recommend the Saicho Hojicha Sparkling Tea option if you can’t handle alcohol well. Brunch at Duddell’s is an excellent way to spend Sundays in Hong Kong in our opinion. If I were to come back, I would like to enjoy their beautiful outdoor patio dining instead of the indoor area!

After our brunch, we slowly strolled back to our hotel to pick up our luggage and we took the Airport Express ride back to airport from Hong Kong StationWe went for a simple dinner at the food court in the airport before heading to the our departure gate!

After a 3+ hour flight and a few movies later, I was back in hot and humid Singapore. Glad to be home! Good times fly by so fast, and it has been a few months since I came back from Hong Kong. I will plan another holiday to visit Hong Kong / Shenzhen soon!
