Our stay was inclusive of breakfast, and we had our breakfast at The Kitchen Table. One highlight for me was that there were many Freshly Cut Coconuts available, so there was a free flow of Coconut Water for drinks! I must say the spread was large and extensive, with a wide selection of international and Thai dishes.

There were also dim sum stations and congee.
There was an egg station offering all sorts of different ways to prepare eggs, including omelettes, stand-alone eggs such as poached or fried, and even Salmon with Eggs Benedict!
There was even a special ala carte menu available on every table to order freely.
After breakfast, we went on a journey to visit as many temples as possible in Ko Samui. There are several magnificent temples, with Wat Phra Yai also known as 'The Big Buddha Temple' and Wat Plai Laem being the most-visited attractions in Ko Samui.
The Statues at Wat Plai Laem were amazing, especially the centrepiece - Guanyin statue. This white statue of the Chinese Goddess of Mercy stands about 15 meters tall with 18 arms! The impressive statue sits in the middle of a tranquil lake.
The white statue of Budai (the Laughing Buddha) is believed to bring good
fortune.
From Wat Plai Laem Temple, it is just a 10-minute walk to the famous Big
Buddha.
The 12m high Big Buddha is now one of the landmarks of Ko Samui. Many Thai visitors come here to worship, and it has also become a favorite attraction amongst foreign tourists.
The views overlooking the coastline and island are breath-taking while strolling around the magnificent Buddha Statue.
These giant statues perfectly showcase the temple’s Thai Chinese style. The best thing is that there is no entrance fee! Many temples in tourist areas are now chargeable, but this one remains free.
Baby discovered this remarkable restaurant by coincidence, after visiting the famous temples. Khao Hom - Michelin Gourmand Rated Casual Restaurant is located right on the street, away from the tourist zone.
A simple Thai restaurant with Best Local Thai Food in Ko Samui! This eatery place exceeded our expectations.
I love this Stir-fried Malindjo leaves with egg, and this dish is also loved by people all over Thailand.
If you are in Koh Samui. This is the restaurant you cannot miss out on! You will definitely be getting a traditional Thai cuisine experience!
We received some gifts from the hotel upon returning to our room from our sightseeing.
W Koh Samui’s main draw is its proximity to it's private beach, which is aptly named 'W Beach'. You can go for a swim, take part in any water sports or simply have a relaxing walk along the coastline and watch the sunset.
Feeling adventurous, we booked a Towable Sofa Ski ride. We thought that it was going to be a relaxing cruise ride, but we were gravely mistaken!!! It is a thrilling ride full of twists, turns, and splashes. I shouted non-stop during the entire ride, and the only time, I stopped was because the sea water kept getting into my mouth! Argh… This 15 mins ride seemed to take forever to end. I'd recommend flare shorts or a wet suit to avoid discomfort. Be sure to wear goggles and to keep your mouth shut!
Jet skiing in Koh Samui might be a popular water activity around the island, but for more excitement, the Towable Sofa Ski offers a thrilling ride full of twists, turns, and splashes.
We were all drenched after the ride, so we walked out to our villa to rinse off the sea water and prepared for our Floating Afternoon Tea to arrive. This sweet gesture was arranged by the hotel, and it was more than enough to feed two!
The tray was heavy! The staff helped us to
carry it to the pool. We took a few photos and ate everything in the pool! What
a delightful experience!
Apart from the Float-Me-Up Afternoon Tea Set, the hotel also arranged for a DIY Cocktail Set to our room. We made our own cocktails and enjoyed them in the room.
We washed up after that before calling the hotel to arrange for a buggy to take us back to the entrance of the hotel. We took a taxi to Fisherman's Village. It is a historical part of Bophut, Koh Samui, with rustic-style buildings housing boutique stores and trendy restaurants. It has also evolved into a popular tourist spot, and therefore the price might be higher than other places.
We loved the lively atmosphere which had a relaxed vibe throughout our walk at the night market.
We made our way back to W Koh Samui for the fire show at the Woo Bar, as we made an advance reservation to have the best view for the fire show.
We loved the impressive fire show, which was in conjunction with great house music by the in house DJ's spinning and had amazing cocktails to boot!
The next day, as usual, we had our
breakfast at The Kitchen Table.
After we were done with our meal, we went straight back to our room to do our packing before heading for our spa session. As usual, we called for a buggy to bring us to the spa venue, because the hotel was so big!
I loved the service they rendered, as we were given a cold towel and glass of lemongrass drink before the treatment.
We were given Preserved Papaya and Hot Ginger Tea after the treatment. It was part of our room package! We asked for a late checkout, and we were given a generous '1 pm'.
We left our luggage with the concierge and took a taxi to Central Samui for our lunch. As we really loved Kapi Sator, we decided to visit this eatery place again before heading back to Singapore.
We ordered new dishes from the menu to try
out. Everything was delicious included the dessert - Mango Sticky Rice.
Kapi Sator has become our must-visit place in Ko Samui. We will definitely be back again.
We felt really taken care of throughout our time at W Koh Samui. The staff was kind and attentive; they remembered us even though we’d only met briefly. It may be our first time on the island and especially at this beachside resort, but it will certainly not be the last. I can’t wait to return soon.
We headed back to our hotel to pick up our luggage and headed to the airport via private transfer which we purchased from Klook.
Samui International Airport is privately-owned by Bangkok Airways, and it is a mere stone’s throw from the bustling heart of Chaweng. The airport surprised me with it's uniqueness. It’s not every day you come across an airport that feels more like a tropical retreat than a gateway to further adventures.
We had a quick early dinner before boarding our home-bound flight!

There is a courtesy corner with complimentary beverages and snacks at the departure transit area for all Scoot passengers, and when our flight was ready for boarding, we were transferred to our plane via a tropical transfer tram.
After almost 1.5 hours flight, we were back in Singapore. It has been a few months since I came back from Ko Samui. See you again soon!
